Bans for not ressing in BGs

It’s as simple as people seeing they’re not able to rez for more than 2 seconds and then… not rezzing.

Do you do BG’s? Just asking because this is a thing and has been forever.

They’re still actively playing, they’re just not feeding HKs into the team farming them.

They aren’t playing. Ghosts can’t impact the game. They’re moving around every few minutes to ensure that they aren’t kicked from the bg. Again, you’re not really protesting when you’re playing the entirety of the match and then re-queing. If you want to make your voice heard, stop giving them your money.

Nah, what will happen is the people who were ghosting will just start rezzing and hiding, or just rezzing every seconds.

That’s still not protesting. You’re still signing up for that content. At least in that scenario you aren’t being so obvious about it. I have to question the person that thinks ghosting is subtle. What did you think was going to happen?

Sure I’ve done BG’s. Sometimes you camp and sometimes you get camped. Most times that doesn’t happen at all, but my first instinct isn’t to game the system so I can get one mark. No single BG is worth the risk.

If Blizzard didn’t do anything for people who, “signed up” for something, Blizzard wouldn’t have created the HvH BG system.

So if you protest your local restaurant but still eat there twice a week, how effective is that protest?

You missed the point. Blizzard stepped in directly for Horde players who had to wait in line, so there shouldn’t be an issue with Blizzard stepping in to stop absurdly long games due to the controlling premade not ending the game.

Maybe they should, but in the meantime you aren’t going to get a pass for exploiting the afk system.

Its not exploiting when no honor is gained in losing/afk. No one is quein bgs to afk over 1000 games for gear

You didn’t play during vanilla I’m guessing lol.

It might be a ban NOW, but has always been allowed

Good news! There’s a quick and simple solution for just such an occasion.
They call it afking and it works every time.

yup this makes perfect sense.

Sounds like the GM who initially banned you was a little too involved with that premade and wasnt happy they didnt get free kills

Sure remove the 15 minute debuff for afking out of a pug vs premade match and that is perfectly fine.

Oh posting on an alt. Gy camping by a premade is the definition of actually s*cking as a premade. The good premades wait in the middle and at least give the team a chance of fighting.

Gy campers just means they know they will die and its the only way to ensure honor. There is a way to break the gy camp. U can rezz behind the tree at the horde gy and immediately jump down towards the hut.

Using your same logic, they also do not care if ppl walk away from the gy so they dont get resurected by the spirit rezzer. If they didnt want ppl to do this then they wouldnt have made the timer drop off when you walk away.

I didnt say there was anything wrong with gy camping. I have nothing against that at all. I play a lot of fps. Spawn camping or gy campimg is always controvertial but im all for it. It goes both ways. Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug.

In wow though, they give you an option to get away from it and that is by walking away from the gy. Either walk bavk to your body, walk to another gy, or just wait it out until thw campers get bored and leave. This is not something they are banning ppl for doing. That is as simple as that.

Also with your logic, i guess if someone in open world is getting camped then they will get banned if they dont rez at thier body. Or log off and play an alt.

The op is mistaken and did not get banned for walking away from the gy. Unless he did something like right at the start did it with the intention of staying in ghost form the entire game. Or afking.
