Banning GDKP is pointless

Is it so unfathomable that people can take a stance on a matter in principle?

I’m guessing about 75% of the playerbase that is even aware of GDKP supports removing it.

Sure, sure, friend.

Know what else is pointless? Your post

actually the post lays out a simple way to remove RMT.

They can do all that and still ban gdkp. Cope harder

true they could.

No your post says that banning GDKPs is pointless. So all of your post is pointless

The classic forum approach of ‘If I repeat this enough times, it’ll make it true!’

There’s literally nothing to be spending that kind of gold on at level 25 besides GDKPs. SoD has completely proven RMT and GDKPs are directly connected.

Go buy your gear in Wrath. You won’t be able to anymore in SoD. Boohoo.

It’s like you think that fear mongering will bring your GDKP’s back

mount at level 40 is 90g. epic BiS dagger is prob around 100g. consumes for two raids every week is probs 10g…every week. enchants, mats for professions. repairs. It all adds up. Do you really need a class in how gold works?

LOL. Yeah and the cap has been 25 for months. So they’re not buying gold to spend at 40. They’re buying it over and over to buy gear in raids.

Cope harder, whale.

Then ban gold farming bots. How are you this thick? lol

This is my largest issue with Blizzard’s decision. It’s flying completely under the radar that Kaivax gave two reasons for banning GDKPs:

  1. Impact on RMT and Botting; and
  2. The alleged “erosion of traditional guild and social structures” due to the “transactional nature” of GDKPs.

Point 1. Fair enough, if a very heavy-handed response.

Point 2, however, is really problematic. It’s basically a polite way of saying “a vocal group of people have been complaining that this is not in the ‘spirit of classic’, so we’re appeasing them and banning a social activity”.

But what about little babies precious gold!

i dont think region locking the servers is a good idea.

some people who live in europe have friends that live in the US and they would wish to play together.

Who’s saying they shouldn’t? No one. It’s just a lazy strawman whales are throwing out there.

If it meant the end of RMT so be it.

no that’s restricting customers from being able to play with their friends.

what about people who currently live in the US, have multiple characters set up on a US server, with a guild and friends on the US server but then they move to Germany? Why should they be precluded from continuing to play where they have already established themselves?

people would rather just quit than start over

that’s a fantastic point.
