Banned for too much honor

I was never “squelched” though, it went straight to silence in less than 30 seconds from when I started spamming my macro and realizing what was happening logging to get it to stop (it queued up a list and kept going). As soon as I logged i had received an email notifying me of my silence. Also, using another players post to argue your point doesn’t help you any.

IF a GM does have to approve first: I would hope it takes longer than a few seconds to actually review these reports. If a GM does have to pull the trigger than they are doing so without reviewing and just going through the list - which would still be automatic in a way. Plus it says I was silenced for abusive language. There was nothing even remotely abusive in what was posted. Just a typo in a macro.

A squelch is not a silence, they are two different systems. Trying to argue that one system implemented in 2007 is the same as a system that replaced chat bans that was implemented in 2016 is silly.

A squelch is a form of being silenced. Can you talk freely in all channels while squelched? No? Sounds like a silence.

One is automatic, the other is not.

I know you don’t really like to pursue facts but you could at least acknowledge the difference.

Yes but they both result in your character being silenced.

And that’s the point.

Just ignore del he loves to cling to the tiniest technical definitions regardless of the problem people are actually discussing and has no intention of being a useful contribution to the chat.

Just to follow up on this, for anyone who didn’t believe our bans were unjustified, me and Iam had our bans overturned today.

Greetings,

As part of our ongoing effort to combat exploitation and abusive behavior, Blizzard recently closed a World of Warcraft license on this Blizzard account.

After performing an additional review of the evidence considered in this action, we’ve determined that this closure was an error. We are reopening this license for play and hope you will accept our sincere apologies for the mistake.

What’s interesting is that Iam’s appeal was initially denied by an automated response, while mine was forwarded internally by a GM for further review.

Rank 14 next week confirmed

They are two different systems, I am trying to explain this to people.

UPDATE: I was unbanned because my suspension was false, I claimed that I was mass reported and it was actually CORRECT. I am now unbanned and got all my rank points and WILL be rank 14 next week. Cya in warsong this week

looks like you have some crow to eat buddy

mmmm nummy nummy crow

I find it very interesting that you posted saying you received a weeklong suspension but you weren’t too worried because you were already near your honor cap… then a week after the original post you make a new post saying the suspension was overturned. Sounds like someone’s trying to save face.

You lucked out, didn’t lose rank and will actually progress due to being at your cap before the suspension dropped. Now just trying to save reputation.

Lol.

Hurry and go get your generation 30 gm gear. You won’t be the first botter, nor the last to get it. Just took longer than most.

someone on my server had the same happen to him (a new ban was overturned) who was previously banned for non participation and sat the full duration 1 week before 14 - who admitted it.

seems fishy still. Not sure why you’re such a simp either lol.

He was cleared of his suspension bud. Aka he wasn’t botting just like many of us said get rekt

Not sure why you’re simping for blizzard when we all know they barely pay attention to this game as a whole and much less to their so called “report investigations”

Hello all, I wanted to follow up with everybody. Today I got an email. I appreciate that the team was able to look at my issue, and correct it. Thank you team.
