Haven’t done much? I’m not some WoW god. I’ve never been to Blizzcon for Arenas, I’ve never been in a world first raid team. But I think my achievements would say I’ve done a few things to make me at least good.
What sparked this whole convo was you stating how GM’s conduct themselves in game to punish players and you are 0/100 on that thought process. But still used it as justification

Tbh after this whole conversation and put up an appeal. Tell them the times you’re running into a tree or lost on the map isn’t you AFK, it’s you actively playing. Send them a link to this thread. It’ll sounds like it’s true.
Edit: Haven’t you proven you’re too ignorant to look things up? Look up GM behavior. Plenty of videos/threads.
This is one of the biggest problems with PvPing in WoW these days. No matter what form of PvP you do, they have automated systems that may just ban you for no reason. It happens on classic and it happens on live.
It’s just not worth PvPing.

Edit: The process starts with being reported by a lot of players. I don’t think people would report you AFK in WSG unless you were. Guessing this was an AV spree
Can’t fix extremely obvious botting behavior after 20 years, but they can ban people for playing objectives in AV. Good stuff!

There is no way with thousands of people being banned at the same time that it is GMs on a national holiday teleporting to them and banning thing. No way at all. This is just actively wrong.

but in this specific post the person ADMITTED that they go afk during matches.

I strongly dislike AFKer’s in BGs. The AFK farmers waste everyone’s time.
Sounds like you’re AFKing in the friendly base to do nothing. You hit 1 spell then you’re shocked you got banned for AFK?
The honor grind can suck, sure. AV, maybe less of a sin. But AFKers in BGs broadly is bad. It hurts extra bad in the normal BGs (Anything that isn’t AV) and I am glad AFKers get banned.
Easy fix. Don’t AFK in BGs. Don’t get banned. I hope more people get banned for being AFK in BGs.
Edit: I recall for awhile to Cyclone the tank was the ‘meta’. It’s all druids would do. I believe this was getting people banned awhile ago. You just sit in the throne room, cyclone the tank once then die?? That’s not playing defense.
