Banking Student Fodder: Blizzard.. You're Not Gunna Make This Expire With No Warning.. Right?

So, student fodder gives 4 bars of Rested XP right? So, my plan is to bank all of them that I get from here on out until level 55 or something.

At higher levels, one bar is more XP, right? So, if I want to play the long game and wait to get the benefits later on instead of now, I should be able to, right Blizzard?

I ask because a lot of people banked their mechanical yetis to use during Phase 2 while still in their gift boxes. Only for them to be made into coal, with no warning, for the first time ever.

I used my yetis up but would have banked them if I was smart enough to come up with the idea on my own. Not because it’s would make content easier or make my parsers higher (which you can’t even do anymore), but because it’s cool and funny.

I’ve banked a bunch of that stuff that turns your mount into a reindeer for the same reason. Out of season seasonal items are funny to see!

Anyways, just tryna get ahead of the inevitable drama that will come from Student Fodder so I don’t get shafted in an inevitable knee jerk response from Blizzard. It’s only a matter of time until enough people catch on and realize they have “wasted” their Student Fodder and demand changes be made.

I’m level 40 already on my first toon and have all 8 banked. I’m probably so screwed…

I think instead of removing them, if they decide to limit peoples having them they will either add a cap to the number you can have, and or potentially setting the xp amount to a value, not a percent.

I used all of mine just for this reason.

I expect them to just not work beyond 40, and they won’t tell us until the night before P3 starts.

Are you able to get more? I thought you could only get the 8 from the quest

Well this phase we get 8 so far with the one known quest line, who knows what other quests might have them going forward.

Personally using them on my main before 40 for just that reason, my alts, I might not, but a lot of them I will probably have rested anyway, so might save some for higher levels.

I think a big clue people are missing when asking this question is the fact that the max stack amount is 30. They only gave us 8 so there is a chance we get more in the future, but the consensus I keep reading is to use them now instead of saving, but I think they will work in the future and its worth saving half or all depending on preference just to see. No harm saving them for science I say.
