Bank is Full

Welp, since starting at level 60 in Classic I have been hoping not to start destroying gear. But now my bank is full. What is everyone else doing about this issue?

Making larger bags? Kept the tier sets, got rid of some of the lesser off-set pieces I didn’t really care about.

Deleted all older stuff cuz this is a progression server that doesn’t matter and we all quitting soon

Destroying gear.

What do you intend to do with level 60 gear? or any old gear for that matter.

I was thinking Transmog might become a thing if we make it Cata.

That was mop, cata was void storage, iirc

Transmog came with hour of twilight the last major patch of Cata…

Are we thinking if we don’t have the stuff on us when that happens, we’re out of luck, or how did that work originally?

Delete all that garbage because only boomers see their WoW characters as legacies / trophies.

Especially progression toons…

I could see if this is retail and you have it forever…

Maybe OP will be playing classic DragonFlight?

I’ll delete my S2 gear when S2 gear stops being the second-best set for Fruit Elfs and the first-best set for Mooncows.

I just delete gear. I did same the lvl 70 guitar axe thing that dropped in Naxx but otherwise meh.

Gotta make a personal gbank.

not being a hoarder usually helps…

I have been keeping old pvp gear in the vain hopes one day the devs screw up and put in code that lets the vendors buy this for decent gold.

this classic feature I do not like. I got used to my seasonal retail gold bonuses. new season, new gear and the old gear sold for nice gold. even say 50 gold per piece is gold I didnt have before.

When they implemented xmog back in the days they had track of all the gear you ever had and gave you the xmog for it.

You’ll probably have void storage soon, but I’m pretty sure it’s safe to vendor your old gear.

That’s not how it worked. You actually had to currently own the gear to transmog when the system was originally launched.

When they implemented the transmog UI in a later expansion, then you could throw out the gear once it was captured by the UI. The UI also copied over any gear from quests rewards. The UI would not capture any non-quest reward gear that you threw away so if you want those tier sets for transmog, you have to keep them around for awhile.

This.

But they did add the void storage to put all your worthless appearance stuff.

Originally you did need to have the actual gear to transmog.
