Hi guys,
Just wanted to open up a discussion on our spell “Banish” and what uses anyone has for it or even if it is on anybody’s action bars.
I think it has uses in PvP but it is situational at best.
Perhaps I am missing something here?

But how does this help because you are usually AOE them down and this doesn’t help the mob count nor time when you need to take this mob individually ?
if someone messes up skipping a worm you can banish it, negate any casts or stress from it, then unbanish when the group calls for it. its also another pseudo interrupt. not a silence, but it will stop the cast assuming you beat it.

Fair enough, I was thinking this would be the case. It is hard in the moment to think of these things but I suppose that is what separates the good players from the average.
Does anyone regularly use this in PvP?
not a clue my pvp knowledge is just pressing chaos bolt for 3 weeks and dying repeatedly

So anything but UR useless haha😂, what about enslave demon?
My felguard got banished one time in the open world. I ended up resummoning him and still won, but I thought it was a cool try. But that almost never happens.
i dont think ive used enslave at all this xpac. it was big in legion in arcway, but yeah nothing in BFA afaik.
would like to point out, if the ads our corruption modifier spawns are abberations, we can banish them and just negate the mechanic. which is yuge

You will still need to kill the aberration eventually right or does it time out?
from what ive heard itll time out, but i cannot hard confirm i havent messed around on PTR recently

This could be quite awesome 
Last i heard any cc nullifies them so Axe Toss and Shadowfury should both work as well. That would give us a wide array of options to deal with them.
Being able to use Banish which is under utilised are the moment would be a great option!
You can Banish the adds in the Blood Priest Alunza fight in Atal dazar that spawn at the alter. In practice they are easier to stun and kill …though if she is going to die soon you can Banish the last add out and just tunnel her.
Both banish and enslave demon are almost obsolete by now. Very limited opportunities to use them and you can always bypass.
They are iconic warlock spells which add to the class character and both have very important uses in classic but in retail they’re just kept for show.
Banish is slightly more useful as you can cast it on enemy elemental/demon pets in PvP as mentioned. Imo the cast time makes it not worth using on anything else than a felguard and that’s primarily to temporarily negate demo warlocks’ soul link.

im hearing conflicting reports as to weather the ads are targetable sooooooooo stay tuned or perhaps test for yourselves cuz ill probably be playing POE
