In an overworld where you can spawn 3 “treant” rares by bringing either a battle pet, a neutral critter, or a neutral elite to a specific area…
I refuse to believe that the true way that you spawn Banescale the Packfather is simply a "10% chance everytime you kill Siltstalker (sp?) the Packmother
Come on, spill the beans… tell us the real way to spawn him… its been almost 40 days and I have never even seen this rare… yet ive seen those dang Hydras spawn and get nuked so quickly that essentially I am missing just those 3 rares from completing that part of the chieve.
Dont get me started on the comments of wowhead stating that apparently a hunter can swoop in and start taming, stealing the kill from everyone assuming it ever spawns.
Its the Alpha Fin right? I have to ride it and crash into the gazebo at a specific time of the day which wakes him up .
Ok not that? then its the fish you can eat around the town and eventually your character gets a secret debuff where they throw up and if you do 3 circles before throwing up on the southwest pole thats the true way … right? right?
EDIT : Banescale finally found, and killed. Only took nine weeks

Ya killed the packmother and a chance Banescale will spawn. He has spawned twice for me.

Ok so obviously the trick is to kill a packmother while being a blood elf priest. got it.

I only got a kill on him because someone listed it in the group finder. Spent over a week killing Siltstalker.
Update : Still havent even seen him. I give up.
Did you try doing it on your blood elf priest though?

I dont have one, only a silly 110 Goblin Priest that I haven’t touched since Argus
I killed packmother about 30ish times with no Banescale. Finally got my kill because someone announced his spawn in chat. Longest flight ever.

I have actually seen him one more time since posting here. It was at an early morning hour and someone called it out.
The few people in the zone who cared came and got their kill.
The RNG nature of rares like Banescale/Rockweed Shambler/ Iridescent Glimmershell feels really bad compared to how some of the other rares (coral ancients) are spawned. I had to kill packmother 20+ times over a few days before Banescale decided to end my suffering and the other two took at least 2+ hours of grinding.

Blizzard, please fix this horrible RNG. I’ve been camping Banescale as my last kill needed for the achievement. Killed Packmother almost 30 times and still no spawn.
My sub runs out in a little over a week and good riddance.
Literally just had Banescale spawn after throwing this post up. I am going full conspiracy theory and saying a GM rigged this for me to keep my sub!

I am not even trying to focus on those rares. I am just happy I only have one rare to go in Mech and I can’t do it until a specific WQ is up.
Stupid Doppel Gang
Still no Banescale for you Mercenaryz? its been almost 2 weeks since you posted thread. Giving good vibes to you!
You will get it now.

Well a guildy had been camping mother on and off and during one of his sessions I turned up and placed myself on mothers spawn spot while he was waiting.
me: /roar
me: I am mother if you kill me I will spawn father
me: lol
Mother spawns we kill it then father spawns.
True story.
Shrug
Sadly no, and I haven’t seen Gratinax since the first week when it got nuked due to its low health pool.
Bane and Grat, my last two “rares” … driving me insane
Sorry dude, but the rules state “No accents in the name of any of the characters on your account” for it to spawn.
May RNGesus (or a GM) smile upon you, Mercenaryz,
