Yea I fell for it, you got me…yuk yuk yuk
Thanks for causing me a 15 min debuff. I’m really excited to lose 15 minutes of my time that I have very little to play with in the first place.
Yea I get it I clicked the button but tell me, if you leave your door open for air, do you blame yourself when someone comes in and robs it? Or steals your car when you leave the keys in it while you are washing it?
Doesnt matter that I clicked it, it shouldnt be there in the first place

No problem dude, have a good one
welp.
another solution is
to
not click
the portals
a wise man once told me… theres always a solution… stop focusing on the problem and try to figure out a solution instead.
The solution is for Blizzard to ban the usage of portals in instanced PvP.

Hang out at ancient Dalaran and you will occasionally see random people dropping from the sky.

I completely agree with the OP. This and the people emoting that people are AFK needs to stop. Can a Blue weigh in on if this is reportable as cheating or not? Because A) it does drop people out of the BG when it was clearly not their intention and B) It also tacks on the 15 minute Deserter Buff.
It’s a waste of peoples’ time, clearly trolling, and serves no benefit to anyone.

First two parts most definitely, and it should be frowned upon. However, it does weed out the gullible.

Benefits the team greatly. It removes the bads.

No. It removes the naive and possibly ignorant. Those things are not mutually exclusive to ability to PvP.
ETA: An easy solution for the portal situation is to simply not allow them in the 2 minute prep phase.

It does show their lack of experiance.
Everyone has to start somewhere! No need to ruin those first experiences for them.

I say it’s a perfect legitimate strategy to weed out the weak! If they can’t even avoid clicking on a portal do you think they’ll click on the healers and start attacking them?!

You fell for the oldest trick in the book. And you deserved that 15 minute deserter buff

Someone on the Alliance team while I was merc moding did the ol
/e has flagged you afk. To dismiss this type /away clear.
14 people left the game. I’ve never seen that horde side.
The Alliance team definitely needed a purging of the weak.
We ended up winning the game even though it was 26-40 for about 10 minutes.

Good… and then we report the mage afk and he gets kicked out too.

I understand how the portal thing can be annoying. But the /AFK emote??? Seriously?
For that one you literally have to type in /afk to get kicked out. If you fall for it once, you learned your lesson and never have to fall for it again.
Someone shouldn’t have to fall for it at all. If someone wants to voluntarily leave a BG, there is already an option to do so that players cannot abuse or troll with. The point is interfering with someone’s ability to play the game. The /afk troll does that.

Having to play with people who can’t handle that is interfering with my ability to enjoy the game.
Pre-made groups might be for you, then. There -is- an option for people like you who are simply better than the average player.
Interfering with someone gameplay? When they click a mage portal they should expect to be ported. They interfered with their own gameplay.
