I think Blizzard is doing a good job by letting us transfer to ERA. I support this idea, but they absolutely need to remove GDKP from ERA just like they did on Anniversary. I think it was one of the best decisions Blizzard ever made for Anni. It would be wonderful to keep playing Classic Vanilla without GDKP and have healthy raids.
Please Blizzard, ban GDKP from ERA as well. Thank you.

It’s our role to make enough noise for Blizzard to listen to us and remove GDKP from ERA. We need to put pressure, because many of us want to go to ERA, but GDKP is a huge obstacle.

No. Absolutely not. GDKP is what has kept Era alive. GDKP is an amazing and flexible loot system (and I’m saying this as someone who has NEVER swiped). If you don’t like it, take your character to Anniversary TBC.

Classic Era would have been more popular if GDKP didn’t exist. One of the reasons I never played Era is because of GDKP. This is the perfect moment for this unfair, pay-to-win system to finally disappear from the game.

I haven’t seen a swiper on Era in a long time. Like the bots, they all went to SoD, then went to Anni. They go to whichever version is the current fad and swipe there, so that they can progress quickly and then move on to the next fad. Era has had a VERY stable economy since SoD was released.

Exactly this. The swipers don’t go where GDKP is allowed, they go to whichever version of the game is the newest, so they can play it with minimal effort. On Era, everyone is pretty much fully geared anyway. GDKP just allows us flexibility and freedom to bid on whatever we want, in whichever raid we want, so we can work on PvP sets, meme spec, whatever we feel like! And if we REALLY want a particular item, we save up for it.
