I have had nothing but positive experiences with Discord communities. Of course there are always sour applies in every community, but here are all of the things Discord has done for me:
Allowed me to find deep, meaningful RP communities (and RP cross-faction!)
Allowed me to run a successful RP guild when I was the GM of a large H guild on WRA
Allowed me to play other games with my friends through voice and stream
Gave me many friends and connections that I still have to this day
Allowed me to organize guild events by topic, interest, and time investment
Helped me find secret mounts and treasures, understand the lore better, and get better at PvP.
Get outta here. If Discord is toxic for you, you are likely using it wrong.
All of this can be done in-game, sorry but Discord is not good for the overall health of the game and your single experience doesn’t mean much when what i’m suggesting will benefit you far more in the long run even if you don’t understand it right now.
It is not a single experience. My experience involves hundreds of other people, and the other posters in your thread alone have expressed similar experiences to mine.
It can not, unfortunately.
You do not have to use it if you believe this.
Don’t talk down to me, or assume I’m uncapable of understanding complex ideas. You are simply wrong.
You don’t need half of those features and Dragonfall is set to fix most of it, trust me when I say this: Whatever you do on Discord, you can do in-game.
If I can use the in-game Voice, you can too bud. It’s not a big deal.
Of course they would, they have no other option. Banning Discord is the only way for better moderation in the game.
