Ban all Ui's/ Boosting Ads / Wow Token

Please Ban all UI’s. Please take just couple of the popular ones, and lets include them in the game. Like…Damage/Healing meters, an updated Raid UI / layout or more options and maybe “your” version of a couple more. Just like you did with Raider IO.

UI’s are ruining the game. Period.

I played Vanilla, BC, Wrath hardcore. In Vanilla we raided 5 days a week, 3 hour days. We also farmed for about 15 hours a week for raid mats. When we had killed Cthun, we were ranked 7th top guild in NA. We hardly used any UI’s. Just one or so and a damage/healing meters.

This game has been ruined by an arms race between Blizzard and UI makers. I don’t even know how players could claim these days that “they play the game” when in reality… they need UI’s to hold there hands through EVERY FORM OF CONTENT.

You are not top raiders or gamers…you just play an UI game. And it’s not really the gamers fault; as these fights just become more ridiculous and harder and harder and even with UI’s … the Mythic fights are very hard.

I would like to see UI’s removed and the level of Mythic raiding toned down just a little. There is all this Drama now with People who make the UIs and the places the distribute them…just more reason to merge them into your game Blizzard and be down with these people.

Also MERGE LFR and Normal Raid. We do not need 4 difficulties in raiding.

Also Please Ban all forms of Boosting and ADS in Group Finder.

I think the only thing people are okay with, is guilds or groups of REAL PEOPLE, selling a spot.

Last but not least… GET RID OF THE WOW TOEKN and All SHOP ITEMS / MOUNTS.

IT IS PAY TO WIN.

That was crappy Activision’s model. A pay to win model. Wow token started off with some good intent…but has changed and with added items to buy, tmogs and mounts…it was only going to get worse.

You BUY A TOKEN and YOU CAN USE IT TO BUY GEAR OR BUY A RUN TO GET GEAR.

It’s 1000000% pay to win. I don’t care how you people argue it, it’s pay to win.

You did not take the time and instead bought it.

I don’t care if you people "use it to pay your sub… It’s $15 people Jesus…go work 1 hour of your life a month. Go ask your parents for $15. It’s not that much…Quit using that as an excuse! That is the lamest thing I have ever heard and I have no sympathy

All of these things have ruined the game. Under Activision’s leadership. Which we see what great things they can do for their company and employees…(sarcasm)… This was the buy the CEO a new yacht model every year.

What is going to save this game and draw players back … is undoing some of Activision’s damage and brining it back to it’s roots.

What about those of us that use addons to assist us cause we can’t see well and the ui helps us achieve that? Even ffxiv people download stuff and just keep it hush hush.

Already against tos in group finder tool… guilds and individuals are fine in trade chat only.

Just no. Lfr is a qued instance that people often times use to get thier feet wet. Merging the 2 would be silly and defeat the entire purpose.

That is massively inappropriate because some people can’t work right now or are going pay check to paycheck with the pandemic. What about people on disability that can’t work so they play for human interaction?

Wow tokens literally pay for my sub. Didn’t have that I couldn’t play. I make enough gold on 1 in a week to 2 weeks to fund 5 accounts. Mounts if I wanna blow 25 bnet credit on a cat, why not?

Longer I read this the more I think it’s someone that watched a popular streamer and thought it would be cool and edgy to post on the forums and repeat what he said like a parrot.

First it was multiboxers that were the issue, then boosters, now addons… what’s next? “This community is toxic we need to ban most of the community when they say certain things.”

Do not make me right on this.

Edit: FYI some aspects of those first 2 things were an issue and it was addressed, which is good. I’m saying this as a context of if addons were banned what would the mob jump onto next? Some aspects of stuff wasn’t an issue but it became too big of an issue.

TLDR

Salty hasbeen player lost their ability to flex their achievements so is now looking to cancel tools and avenues that other more successful players have developed. All the while, not recognizing, maybe this is a skill issue?

Are you calling Add-ons UIs?

You know what a UI is right? It’s the user interface, it’s literally what you interact with to play the game.

I seriously cannot take you seriously with you calling add-ons UIs.

Also terrible ideas overall, laughable even.

Also there were alot of addons in TBC / Wrath. Don’t kid yourself.

Addons in vanilla and TBC were even more broken than the ones we have now even lol. I don’t think these people understand that if Blizzard doesn’t like an addon they can easily break it like they’ve done to decursive and others in the past

Mods are awesome and add a layer of customizability and personality to our experience. Granted Blizz definitely could update the base UI, it’s not that great. But addons are not wrong and it only affects you.

Certain mods do help in raids and such, but raiding isn’t brain dead anymore like it was in vanilla fights. Bosses have grown more complicated and that’s a good thing. Mythic is supposed to be a pinnacle trophy only for truly serious players, it has to be difficult.

The token is a great thing. Because do you remember what happened before? Previously WoW since the start was overrun with hacked third party gold sellers spamming chat and leaving corpse ads everywhere. It was a very toxic for the game and dangerous for people who tried to deal with them. The token destroyed them.

People are going to buy gold either way, it will never stop. Not everyone is going to sit there on the AH. So it’s better to have a safe and legal way for it that won’t risk your account.

It’s not pay to win because you’re paying for a chance at gear. You still have to run the content with a group, you’re still the whims of RNG on getting anything you want to actually drop. It’s hardly that different from a normal group. But also boosting existed in WoW even in vanilla and previous expansions. The token didn’t start it and the token won’t stop it.

Do you mean addons?

Personally, I agree addons should be disallowed and think WoW’s UI should be redone to include organizational concepts from addons like Bagnon but remove anything like meters that encourage and support toxicity and DBM that gives them an actual play/combat advantage.

DBM does not give you any advantage beyond telling you when a boss or add is about to do something. You still need to… you know. Do things about it. It’s not playing the game for you lol
