If you dont want to use the tools you are given, it is your decision.
None must pay for your obtuse idea of gaming by having a garbled UI design for people who cant really play with care.

I am using the tools, disabling sound.
I would advise Blizz to not take upon themselves the idea to remove addon notifications, allow people to mute their sound then make people rely on sound 
Sounds awfully smoothbrained.
Also, ignoring how I play, what about deaf players? Screw’em? Blizz has been adding more accessibility features lately so I doubt that will happen. Even less than I doubt Blizz removing addons is a possibility.
