I did it for a while. and yeah…you can literally control the AH on whatever youre selling using the cancel scan. I got hate whispers over it, lol. Clearly they were doing what i was doing, I was just a lot more determined. And I made a lot of gold.

I dont think they can totally fix it regardless.
Even if they limit the number of auctions or put any other limitations, we’d just fire up a dozen AH characters and maybe have 3 or 4 WoW accounts going, lol.

Id say throttling the cancel scan and some other restrictions might work…but it may backfire too.
So now Joe Average Player has more restrictions on him…but the guy with 16 wow accounts and some god level rig set up is still able to keep ahead of the average AH’er.

jack up the cancel price to 50% of the current value of the item (whatever yours would currently list at). That would definitely stop the cancel scanning.
But then we’d just turn around and list 1 at a time when the scan says we’ve been undercut.
Need a combination of hell level cancel fees plus really long CD on the Cancel scan and then yeah, maybe a cap for how much we can have listed of each item. Maybe one stack at a time (200/20/whatever)

i cant say anything. I abused the hell out of the AH myself. Im as guilty as the next guy, lol. I just dont really need that much gold anymore since Ive kinda bought everything I wanted to buy.

I’m not sure what the answer is, but the cancel scan meta is extremely degenerate.

That said, I pretty much just throw my crap up now and forget about it. I do pretty small potatoes (maybe 50-80k / day), and I’m happy with that. The trick, for me, was just branching out more. Keep a good mix so there is always something selling.

Just because you get undercut doesn’t mean it’s all bots, or even people using addons for that matter. For some people the AH is their end game/pvp.

So you are mad about an addon that you clearly know nothing about? Got it.

TSM is just a selling and buying tool. It doesnt automate anything, you still have to be there and use the keyboard and/or mouse to do that buying and selling. Anything that reduces hand/finger pressure is a big ++ for me. Its like using Google to search for what you want to find quickly. Should we go back to DOS because too many people Google?
