EA has been amazing. Its still very early in the cycle. It needs work. Needs polish.
But man.
I am excited.

I think it’s kind of weird to have early access on a game by a big publisher like EA.
It seems more like a move an indie dev would make in order to help fund their operation.
That’s because EA is not the publisher. Larian Studios is developing and publishing the game. EA has nothing to do with Baldur’s Gate I, II, or III
interesting, misread the thread. it implied EA was the publisher
Yeah, not sure if he thought it was published by EA or just mis typed something. Regardless that game will be in early access for a while.
Definitely. But I’ve put about 30+ hours in it so far. Really liking it despite the expected EA issues.
Ah, he means EA = Early Access
I wish I could play it without crashing (yes, I read their blog post and followed their suggestions, doesn’t help), but it seems like it will be good!
It crashed bad initially. Ive been mostly safe lately though. I quick save a lot. They’ve rolled out 3 hotfixes so far, that each addressed crashing on some level.
They definitely still have some tweaking to go. But I really liked Divinity 2. I think it will turn out great.
It looks amazing, but I suck at D&D systems.
Thank God!
While knowledge of D&D systems can help, if you understand WoW then a lot of that knowledge translates.
Generally. Rogues like Dex. Wizards like Int.
You dont want your lighter armored people being the ones to take damage.
CC systems.
Etc.
There are some nuances. But a lot of general RPG type knowledge caries over.
I want to wait until the full release.
The wait is killing me.
One of my favorite studios making the third installment in one of my favorite franchises in one of my favorite settings.
/drags hands down face
Been playing it since last week. Quite fun but being a fan of DOS2 and the old D&D games like Neverwinter Nights definitely helps. Still, I wish I can still have a 6-character party just like the old days.
I love that old-school breed of RPG where you have a party and tactical turn-based combat. It’s much more appealing than Cyberpunk to me.
They have received a ton of feedback concerning this. I believe they are open to tweaking it to at least allow 5. 4 just feels too constrained.
5 would definitely be swell I think. But of course, the more the merrier.
Yes, oh omnipresent authority figure?
