About Us
Balanced is a progression minded group of raiders that formed at the start of Shadowlands - achieving CE our first tier together. We offer a genuinely non-toxic and collaborative raiding experience that encourages efficiency while raiding just twice a week, six hours total. We aim to work towards goals that we feel will make the raid team more performant and don’t tie our successes or failures to a US Top X rank. If we continue to improve our foundations, our rank will reflect that.
Our Brief History
The guild started with the relatively humble aspiration of achieving AOTC in 9.0. We hadn’t committed to mythic raiding until we cleared heroic but once we did, we realized we had a solid group of players to continue the tier with. We ended up ramping up our recruiting efforts to solidify our 20-man roster and we’ve been gaming together ever since.
What we’re looking for
Every guild will tell you they’re looking for “exceptional players”. What most of them mean is that they’re looking for players with impressive logs. While we certainly have a standard for player level, we also assess our players based on their ability to communicate and their dedication to improve. We prefer folks that have a high ceiling, rather than a player that’s already at theirs.
Other notables
- We’ve never had to measure attendance. We’ve maintained a full roster throughout our first tier because everyone enjoys raiding with us.
- We try to make the most of the time we have together and outside of a few weeks during CN, we have not asked for extra days.
- Drama isn’t a thing for us - period.
