Can someone please clarify how exactly to start Balance of Power in Legion for the artifact unlock?
I completed the class order hall campaign on my priest this morning, but there’s no quest-giver in the Netherlight temple.
I’ve looked online, and I’ve seen a slew of various requirements for the quest. Class order hall campaign, A Fallen Star, the first few quests in Azurelight Repose, Assault on the Broken Shore…I’ve been knocking these out one by one and I’m not seeing it pop up.
You need to finish the class hall campaign and do the full quest chain at Azurelight Repose.
After that, Kalegos will wander into your class hall in a couple of days. (So, once you’ve done the other stuff, all you can do is wait.)
Ok, great to know. Thank you! Yeah, I found so much information and none of it gelled together so I really wasn’t sure what I needed to get this quest started. I even saw mention of Revered requirements for Nightfallen/Valajar to start it…
There are some steps in the quest chain that do require reputation, so if you aren’t revered with Nightfallen and Valajar (and honored with Farondis) then I’d start working on that as well so you don’t get held up on those steps. (The Nighfallen and Valajar steps happen after the Emerald Nightmare step which takes 2-3 lockouts, so you’ve got time for those without slowing you down.)
Edit: You’ll also need to make sure you’ve done the Moonguard quests in Suramar at some point before the Nightfallen part of the chain as well, as you need to rescue those NPCs so they can be in Shal’aran.
None of the above stuff is needed for the initial quest to show up, though. That’s probably why it can get confusing. People mention it because it is important if you want to move through the chain efficiently and not have to stop and work on a pre-req for a later quest that could have been done ahead of time.
Yup, got the initial quest to appear today. Got to the quest that requires honored with Farondis. Looks like I got a bit of questing and rep grind to work on in the cards. Thank you!
