Balance of power questline

If I were to do the balance of power questline for one class, will I unlock the artifact appearances for all specs of that class? I want to take advantage of the 100% bonus rep coming up. Is this questline only per spec or is it for the whole class? Also, how long would you say it takes to do this quest line to unlock the artifact appearances, especially with the upcoming 100% rep bonus?

It unlocks for all specs on that character.

Is it only for that character? Can I use the appearances on any other toon of the same class?

No it’s for that character only.

Characters exalted with a Legion reputation will receive account bound rep tokens from Order Hall reputation missions. If you have alts exalted with the relevant BoP reputations you can feed those tokens to your character on the quest chain.

Aside from gaining rep, it will take weeks of raids to earn all of the currency items necessary to complete the quest line.

The heck you’re talking about.

Yes OP you can use the appearances on any other toon of the same class.

I didnt read. Thought it was asking if balance counted for all characters.

Im confused. So is it for any character of the same class or just for the character you did the quest on?

Any character of the same class. If you have 2 priests but only did the quest on one of them, both will have the appearance.

I completely forgot about that. If I still played my druid I’d go back and get it done.

I think the only “caveat” is you have to get the initial artifact weapon on the second class which isn’t a huge deal since it takes like 10 minutes at 120 probably. Could be wrong on that one.

So I just tested with a Trial and you can use the appearance even if the character doesn’t have the artifact weapon. The only requirement is to be level 98.

I’ve been doing it a bunch lately. I’d say it takes around three weeks. The main roadblocks are the drops from emerald nightmare and nighthold. They typically need two runs each to complete. Although I did luck out on one of my characters and get all the EN ones in a single week! So that was nice. The rep should be a non issue. You only need revered for a few of them (valajar and nightfallen off the top of my head).

And just to reassure you, when you complete the quest you do unlock the appearances for all of your class’s specs, and those appearances can be used on any alts of the same class. Provided they’re a high enough level of course. Oh and it does seem to be a little buggy, and they won’t show in your appearance tab until you log out then back in.

That’s cool then. Like I said, I don’t remember the specifics, and I don’t have duplicates without them anyway.

The answer is both yes and no. Yes, it unlocks the option to transmog the appearance on other characters of the same class, but no it also doesn’t unlock the appearance swapping of the artifact itself at the class hall altar (except for the PvP looks, as those are account wide due to honor being account wide).
