Balance druids help me out

I’m getting one to seventy and I have a basic foundational question I haven’t figured out still. How do you handle rares and elites that really slap and you’re alone and not die?

My best advice is make sure youre talented for self healing, use both your roots if necessary, and if you can, start the fight with some built up astral power for immediate burst

Do you grab a lot of bear talents or do you go hard on the healing?

I got you.

Right at the start out damage is nice and usually DoTs whittle down stuff fast and starsurge is so powerful. this remains the case until 30.

When you hit 30 there is a stealth nerf to your damage compared to mobs. For hard quest objectives I have to kill for a quest I’ll have astral power built up, start throwing down dots and starsurges and then forces of nature. They can usually do alright for 10 seconds then it’s kiting, doting and healing till they come back up until boss is dead.

Later down the like once u get goldrinn, orbital strike, fury of elune nuke damage becomes better (but feels worse for a small while cause scaling).

If boss gets on your butt a lot during the process remember you can frenzy regen in bear too. Thicc hide helps

that’s the cool part, you don’t

If you’re having trouble you could just change spec to blood for rares. Idk if things have changed, but isn’t blood good for soloing? Albeit a bit slowly.

Also don’t be afraid to ask for help in general chat. It’s an MMO after all.

changing spec into a Blood Druid? sign me up. Sounds absolutely metal.

Lmao I totally forgot the title and looked at their posting spec. Thanks :stuck_out_tongue:

And yeah blood druid sounds metal as heck

Forces of nature on pull with all your other burst cooldowns. After that you can either pop vigil and let your dots do the healing while you continue the rotation or root/slow and kite them til trees are back up. Boomy is really bursty so trees should last long enough for you to nuke most rares.

If its a big rare thays designed for 5+ people, go guardian spec. Itll be slower but as long as you have frenzied regen on your bar and the basic damage rotation for guardian you wont die.

Depends how you long the fight will last. If you can kill it in 30sec, then just go for burst.

Use utility-focused talents, such as Force of Nature, Renewal, and Tiger Dash to make space if you need it.

You can also respec Guardian and not have to deal with all that BS.

You swap to bear build not balance because yeah… You don’t solo elites.

Balance is Squishies when targeted. You solo as tank spec bear

I tend to ignore the bear talents and focus on healing that can be done while retaining my form, but thats a personal preference of someone that hates form-weaving :x i just take the “bear” minimum to get the talent where frenzied regen procs while a owl, and focus on heals after that for solo stuff

play guardian
