Does anyone know of any successful balance Druids this season so far?
My matches so far have been either I get tunneled to death and can’t get away from warriors or rogues or they leave me alone and I do ok.
I either go 6-0 or 0-6 nothing in between.
Obviously balance Druid is not optimal but good lord could blizzard help us out maybe just a little…
It’s in a sad state.
Where specs like feral & spriest feel wonderfully “complete” (for the most part), boomkin is on the opposite end of the spectrum just feeling incohesive and lacking, with no sense of agency. Terrible defensives, terrible self-healing relative to other hybrids, mediocre mobility, lackluster burst & sustained damage, clunky astral power.
Really wish they’d just go back to MoP boomkin mechanics/toolkit. Throw astral power in the trash. Starfall and Starsurge being mutually exclusive spenders has felt bad since the system’s inception; Starfall should be a CD reset by Lunar Eclipses. Also bring back Nature’s Swiftness.
Boomkin really feels terrible. Starsurge does almost nothing.
Those are the 2 normally R1 boomkins in NA.
Rudar is already 1900 with a 70% winrate so seems he’s doing OK. You’re probably limited to DH boomy though still.
Balance feels like something that benefits from synergy, and is more of a supportive partner than a standalone carry. This doesn’t nesscearily mean that they’re weak, just that they benefit from being built and played around.
I can’t stay alive and my single target damage is crap.
Can’t 1v1 anything, and I’m a liability in a team fight.
I get attacked I have to switch to bear form and do no damage.
Single target damage is terrible.
Starfall spam.
Dots that don’t do meaningful damage and fall off too quick.
This spec is fun and functional for 30 seconds every 2 minutes.
Rofl, Mage is bad, imagine Balance Druid.
My only current gripe about balance at the moment is that we don’t have dispel protection for our dots and with the changes to mastery it feels bad to have to reapply your dots during moments where you want to be doing damage.
I have been thoroughly enjoying orbit breaker randomly headshotting people though.
i have done 50+ solo shuffles since yesterday (no lifing) have not seen a single balance druid from 18-2100 mmr
