Balance Druid Stat priority post 8.1 (Help)

Hello fellow druids,

I am having an issue understanding the 8.1 changes and current stat priority for Balance. Currently, I have been focusing mythic pluses, but recently I was doing subpar dps in a raid and was removed. I could barely do over 10.1K, which is embarrassing for someone at ilvl 374.

First question, what is the stat priority now (each updated for 8.1)?

Icyveins: Haste > Mastery > Crit > Vers

Noxxic: Haste > Crit >= Vers > Mastery; {Intellect [9.08] > Haste [7.58] > Crit [6.08] >= Versatility [5.78] > Mastery [3.08]}

Presently I’m at:
Crit: 10% (380 [+5.28%])
Haste: 19% (1,288 [+18.94%])
Mastery: 25% (584 [+12.49%])
Versatility: 9% (735 [8.65%/4.32%])

I believe that I need more haste and crit, but I am unsure if I am prioritizing the correct stat.

Raidbots sims shows that I should be doing nearly 15k dps, 14,931 dps.

What am I doing wrong?

Int ~= Mastery > Crit > Haste > Vers
Pawn string ( Pawn: v1: “Baumheiler-Balance”: Class=Druid, Spec=Balance, Intellect=1.98, CritRating=1.92, HasteRating=1.87, MasteryRating=1.97, Versatility=1.61 )

Noxxic hasn’t been updated at all since prepatch, but icy-veins should have been updated for 8.1.

For the love of god, stop using noxxic. That site has been trolling people since 2010. It has never been and never will be accurate. I’m pretty sure they just randomly select talents and stats for their “guides”…

This.
Noxxic is just bad information, and should be avoided at all costs. Just take it off your bookmarks.

While basing your priorities off a best stat, such a haste, it is very possible to decrease it’s value so much that secondaries may overtake on importance. Which is possibly why you’d be needing Crit and Mastery.

Saying that, it may be in your ST execution. Are you spending and not capping all of your empowerments?

You have a log we can look at for ways we might better advise?

Gonna jump on that noxxic bandwagon. It’s a no no. Hasn’t been accurate for as long as I remember.

And with the change to Mastery in 8.1, Mastery has taken a big jump. I’ve been seeing a lot of people go with a:

Mastery = Crit > Haste

I’m not a boomy though so don’t throw all the chips on the table based on my advice. I’m just going off of what I’ve seen post 8.1

If you want to maximize your dps… if my calculations are right you want roughly 17-18% haste, similar crit and then as much mastery you can get with those numbers. However if you are sacrificing crit for mastery due to lack of luck on gear you will be just fine. Try to get your mastery to at least 30% though.

Right now with Uldir tier and the Array buff. You want Haste to still be your highest trait.

With the new raid however. I believe Int > Haste > Mastery = Crit > Vers. is what alot of dreamgrove druids are saying. But from what I understand its just highest Ilvl is BIS cause our secondaries are so close in weight. With Haste be only slightly better.

And i believe why Haste will still be top is because we want to stack our pulsar as fast a possible with x3 Streaking stars.

Well, x2 SS. Can’t have pulsar and 3 SS :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: I just remembered they’re adding like… another row right? So maybe I’m wrong. :O. Sorry.

you know dawning sun is better than streaking stars now.
