They are not good for PvE and they are HORRIBLE for PvP
Balance druid ARE supposed to be nukers and kiters. We don’t fill that niche now.
Only CC is roots and now Warriors don’t care about that, rogues can get rid of them and on top of that both classes can now insta gap on you with Shadowstep or in-combat charge/intercept.
Starfire doesn’t hurt at all. a single Melee hit from a warrior hits the same to a 80% buffed starfire…
Basically Balance druid now does no burst dmg and have no reliable ways to kite classes.
And before ppl say “you are a hybrid class” Shadow priests are also hybrid class and they not only have Self-healing, they also have a Silence, a Fear, DISPERSION, bubble and tons of burst and rot dmg.
So yea…
SS Nerf was TOO much. Not only they nerfed dmg to the ground but also the range of it.
Balance druid is in it’s worst state ever of a classic version of the game. I literally don’t understand how you can nerf burst dmg to a class that has 0 ways of controlling enemy players.
They have no polymorph, they have no silence, no interrupt, no stun, healing touch is a 3.5s healing. At this point it’s just insane the bad treatment the spec gets.
Just a tip for next phase. Give balance druid some PvP runes, just do it, they need it… hard.
Give them Solar beam, some sort of stun, insta root something… And if u are not going to do it then just make them nukers… like real ones. Buff starsurge again to a viable state
Balance druid had the unfortunate honor of being the most annoying pvp spec to fight against right at the start of the phase when players are most apt to complain and blizzard is the most focused on responding to keep players engaged.
The real problem in pvp right now is just low health pools. solving it really could be as simple as putting a massive amount of resilience on pvp. You don’t even need to tie it to gear just nerf damage in pvp massively by default.
I agree. Not only do warriors hit for the same damage they also get a 50% MS so that makes them even stronger. The nerf was just way to much without compensation. Sunfire needs some sort of buff where if you cast wrath it makes sunfire do more damage or something. Maybe we could get a cyclone rune on gloves to make up for it
Blizzard makes too drastic changes instead of incremental changes in a certain direction . Lot of classes took deep nerfs and then they spend weeks fixing them, some never recovering, instead of smaller nerfs to feel out the changes.
How much testing is actually done if something as noticeable as the Starsurge hitting yourself in the head big was allowed to go live?
Itemization sucks. If you compare the non-Irradiated gear sets for Gnomer between leather and cloth, why would anyone ever pick this set? It has worse damage and unlike cloth, doesn’t have healing. If no one is going to wear it, why does it exist?
Your whole PvP game relies on you getting a lucky 1.8k crit from a 2s cast ablity?
Not only that but you need to first waste a gcd on SS to get that 2s cast on starfire.
Before you can even cast a starfire a hunter already did 2k on you with their pet.
The thing is, as ppl gets more health, Balance druid will be worse and worse. SS is already hitting very low, wrath has never been a hard hitting spell and starfire is not even that good compared to other burst abilities.
Mages are the only class you can easily kill as boomy. Though frost mages with ice barrier have a better chance at it.
