Balance Druid = dead in Raid

It’s full-on dead right now in raid. Dead last in all percentiles/skill levels, it’s even a couple % behind AUGMENTATION, and close to 15% behind the top dogs.

It’s not even good in spread multi target fights (it’s “niche”). Only picked in M+ due to mark of the wild right now, Starfall has become pitifully weak. What are we doing with this spec? This rollercoaster ride of constantly being god awful in raid and then getting tiny “buffs”, then rinse and repeat is just getting tedious.

Like right now we need literally a 8%+ aura buff to even be decent, and probably more to Starfall.

Blizzard’s philosophy since at least Dragonflight is that balance druid has to be terrible in raid. I looked back over logs and balance has been bottom third in every season since then. It’s so bad our class guide switched to an evoker.

Druids as a class has terrible dps outside of feral right now. Guardian does the least damage out of tanks, Resto does the least damage out of heals and now boomy does the least out of dps.

The design of the spec has been going downhill since the Dragonflight Beta and developers still managed to find a cliff at the bottom of that hill to drive the spec off of for TWW. The only somewhat interesting thing that happened to us this xpac was getting two charges of our CD to play around with, but it still feels bad to have the length of our CD reduced even more.

It is pretty sad that there is a semi-spread 3 target dot cleave fight this tier and Balance druid usually isn’t even being brought because of how bad it is even on a fight that is designed to be in Balance druid’s niche of sustained dot-cleave and aoe. I guess that is what happens when the season 2 tier set was a massive increase for stacked aoe (even though it was only mediocre for single target) and Blizzard decided to nerf our aoe by just aura nerfing Starfall by 10% instead of nerfing how the tier set performed in aoe. And now we wonder why Starfall is as bad as it is a few months later.

this may be my last season on my druid because of balance’s performance in raid.

Unless blizz steps in.

I feel like an outlier or maybe I’m just mid, but I feel great on moonkin - aiming for 3k again this season sometime and progressing at a rate I’m happy with in H Raid… I’m a top performer in our raids so far.

A good player can perform better than worse players even on a last place dps spec and every class and spec is easily capable of achieving 3k m+ score when played by a skilled player. I personally am able to perform pretty well. However, the statistics don’t lie and balance druid is extremely bad to the point of being dead-last in dps performance in raids, especially in mythic raids. Balance druid desperately needs a rework or at least an overhaul of the talent tree because they are awful in raids and have been bad in raids for the entire expansion. The last time balance was a great raid dps was in Shadowlands.

I love getting purple or orange parses and seeing a green parsing rogue higher on the meter.

I also love self healing being gutted to where a mage, that has some of the best survivability and utility and damage and CC in the game, does all 4 of those things better + has better self healing than the Swiss Army knife of classes, aka Druid.

Really drives home the point on how incompetent and uncaring the developers are.

We are almost three weeks into the season and not one single ounce of tuning has been done and EC tier set is still bugged and KotG tier set is still under tuned and was bugged.

getting 4 piece for season 3 and then doing a sim and being told that our 4 piece bonus sucks so use your old season 2 gear 2 piece bonus :confused:

it’s also partly because our s2 2pc helps immensely with keeping uptime for waning twilight, because the devs don’t want to get rid of such a poorly designed talent mechanic. i noticed the drop off of fun per hour in M+ once i lost my s2 2pc.
