How hard is it to main spec Balance and have Guardian as an Offspec?
I know it’d be easy to off spec heals, but i’d rather tank Mythic +. Would it just be a matter of trinkets, weapon, and legendary?

I dont find it hard at all. just pick up other stuff as it comes.
That’s what I do. Whenever I do a dungeon, I check the loot and decide which loot spec to use based on whether I need weapon/trinket for which spec from that boss. Enchants/gems sometimes are also different but not enough of a difference.
You really just need:
Covenant choice is also big. I went Necrolord but I mainly play guardian. I like the shield personally. I mainly play PvP.
I think there are other covenants that would better boost balance’s damage though.
Thanks all for the comments, sounds like I was over thinking it lol. Just need to keep collecting gear and I can change my specialization as I go when needed.
Why do you hate yourself? Do you need someone to talk to? Are you feeling ok? What trauma in your past are you hiding???
Night fae seems pretty good for durids overall.
It’s fun. Fighting 1vX is a good time.
I play Randoms alot (getting into rated though this season). I often find myself alone holding a spawn point. Guardian druids can spin flags pretty well (minus long stuns if you already trinketed).
For whatever reason I just can’t get into balance, and feral always feels energy starved to me. Although I break out those specs whenever I need to do pve.
It’s easy.
I went Nightfae to main Guardian and Balance and it’s solid for both.
They also use different soulbind trees. Niya for Balance and Dreamweaver for Guardian. You can set these up to change automatically when you change spec.
You need is a legendary for both, which is easy enough.
Just gem and enchant mastery, which is BiS for Balance and still strong (defensively) for Guardian. Then all you need is a weapon and trinkets.
I also went necrolord but I only pve. I like the gear sets and mostly I like the story/characters from necrolord.
You can probably tell that I know that.
Just providing some quick-win hints for the guy. Mastery will always be strong for both balance and guardian, and is a simple way to gem one set of gear to play both specs.
Everyone should always sim. People asking questions like this, normally don’t.
This we can agree on.
I’m doing exactly what you’re looking at. It’s pretty easy, I’ve got Balance of all Things, Arcanic Pulsar and Ursoc’s Fury Remembered all crafted at rank 1 and am planning on upgrading my BoaT to r4 next week. I’ve got separate weapons and trinkets for the two specs and I’m playing as night fae with the Niya tree for balance and the Dreamweaver tree for guardian. I’m trying my best to stack haste / mastery as it’s good for both specs but have also done a lot of pvp and gotten a lot of verse gear that I use for guardian more or less. It’s really been pretty simple, and has been a blast so far.
im also interested in this, are you saying i dont need seperate rings?
rings are only secondary stats. rings with mastery would generally be decent for either.
Thank you Nevok! luckily im on the right path! Just a tad bummed the right Torghast wing isn’t open this week for the Balance of all things Leggo.
I can make the Arcane Pulsar one now, but I might just wait to make the Balance of all things.
Sweet! Ya I got those Guardian leggos too, i just honestly need to farm some Ash to craft a few leggos!
Is Guardian still pretty easy mode for Torghast?
I’ve done my 8s every week they’ve been available and my ilvl is only 190
