Just ran a +8 Nokhud Offensive with some guildies and we were about 30 seconds left on the timer and Balakar at about 5% remaining, when he charges outside the fence and despawns.
We could have had him down within the timer and a +1 to our key had this not happened.
I get why he has a combat area, but the despawn felt pretty awful and left us with a bad taste. Wipes are one thing, but the boss just disappearing because he crossed an invisible line you didn’t know existed because that’s the random direction he chose to charge… that feels far worse in an M+ than a wipe.
Just figured I’d offer our feedback in hopes that there’s a way to fix this so the boss doesn’t despawn himself.

His charges are not random. They’re always in the direction of static spear.

So let me get this straight, you were with guildies, screwed up multiple times before last boss, got to last boss, with 30 seconds on the timer, someone decided that when marked with spear to face their back to the completely wrong place causing a reset, and instead of accepting player fault, you jumped to GD to complain about an artificial issue?
Maybe, and this might sound far-fetched, but just maybe accept y’all stuffed up… on the plus side, you know its there, hopefully after seeing it you know the basic mechanic now, and it won’t happen again?
TLDR: Skill issue, isnt random, you got trolled by a guildie not the boss. Unlucky.
Ps. Think everyone that has run that dungeon has had this happen at some point.

Or the fences when the rock gets covered by lightning because i swear people forget to move it away from the saftey rock every damn time.

There is nothing random about his charge, He throws a spear at a dps/healer then he charge to the direction on where the said player is. So if he reset because you didnt bait it properly that’s on you
Sure, and I’m fine with mechanics that wipe us for being out of position.
The point of this feedback was that despawns feel bad. If we had wiped for being out of position, that’s one thing, but a boss despawn at 5% is the in-game equivalent of holding out a prize to someone and then yanking it back right before they grab it.

No, I went to provide feedback that despawns are bad.
I’m fine with mechanics that wipe and I’m fine that we weren’t perfect in our scrub M+8 run, and I’m fine that failing to avoid certain mechanics or position others causes a wipe. That wasn’t the point of my post.
Why are you not fine with feedback from players that aren’t perfect? That seems to be the point of yours.

i’m not sure why people seem to be taking offense to this? Like regardless of whether it was preventable or not getting randomly screwed out of a key because the boss arena didn’t prevent this sort of thing is pretty crappy. Would you all have been as hostile about it if he had randomly evaded and reset instead?

it’s only bad if it despawn while being IN the fighting area. You guys are dumb enough to bait it to go outside the area. It’s a gidgut issue. Get over it.

Yes, The post was OP complaining that he didn’t understand that the boss reset because someone in the group messed up, and claimed it was a random wipe.
If it was evade resetting because rock, that’s a different story. But the way it’s presented to us in the OP, is entirely preventable by player positioning.

The boss area is huge. If you fight it where the boss starts it wont reach the outside area at all w/ the charge even if you aim it at the opening. What happened to the OP is bad positioning on their part. There’s really no really issue other OP being unaware on where they are standing.

Last time I was there he rode right over the rock.
I just used it the other day. Would it be a positioning error? I got a NO key and I’ll try in the next couple of days. I’ll report back on it
