On Obsidian Edge (pve realm) high level horde players are MC’ing mobs in westfall / lock modan seconds before they are attacked by a low level alliance player, making the alliance player flagged. The alliance player are then killed.
The alliance player has no intention to PVP or flag. Also because the MC is cast just before they mob is attacked its harder to evade.
As Obsidian Edge is an unofficial hardcore realm, many players once killed need to restart their characters, and its most likely the griefers are aware of this.
Question - is baiting or tricky players on PVE realm to flag for PVP (where the player has no intention to participate in PVP) a banable actions ?

I don’t believe it’s bannable, as it follows the first tag it’s your tag rule.

Now: “lol! It’s funny to give other players a hard time in game! I’m not doing anything wrong… Just a clever use of mechanics.”
In 2 months: “Blizzard, the game is dying… Do something!”

Looks like a working as intended bot trap.
Good for your group.
Beware the living…
That’s the same guy doing it in both of those clips if anyone didn’t notice.
I tend to find this kind of thing funny but with the extra HC challenge etc yeah it’s a problem. It could definitely be reported as griefing and Blizzard can decide what to do with it.
I don’t know if it’s the best idea to publicly share this everywhere but yeah…

Kinda falls under “play stupid games, win stupid prizes,” doesn’t it?
Get revenge by pulling a dragon to Org under a Horde spy alt.
People do seem to enjoy and condone this behavior towards assumed bots (which may not be).
when it’s involved with the players using SoI, I think they should be banned for people tricking players into flagging, kiting Dragons to a City and what not to grief players from keeping the SoI buff, or abusing respawn rates in the world in general. If you are intending to kill players that are trying to achieve actually bragging rights, like the undying title in wrath, you are pathetic.

Lol, wow! That’s clever, doesn’t seem like a banable offense to me. Just funny.

It’s not bannable, but it is whineable.

highly doubt people are quitting en masse because of some silly games like this
if I knew about how much whining the HC community would bring to this game I would never have supported it, lol.
get over yourselves. getting to 60 without dying in a PvE realm while only doing easy green quests is not an accomplishment, people.

If you’re hardcorpse, why aren’t you noticing high level Hordies in Westfall and walking away?
Situational awareness is important. Don’t do what I did and play while you’re sleepy/not paying attention.

A toxic playerbase will drive away players.
Oh?

Untrue.
Knowing the inevitable is coming helps you relax and to plan for the aftermath.
