Bags in Classic

Are runecloth bags going to be the most common bags since they’re not that hard to craft? I’m hoping to grab the recipe from Winterspring before anyone else.

I always end up getting the Explorer’s Knapsack from the riddle you find inside a pirate ship in Stranglethorn Vale and the Thawpelt Sack from the Platinum Discs in Uldaman before filling in with Troll-hide Bags or Journeyman’s Backpacks.

That may change depending on Classic bag drop rates, Runecloth would be what I go for if they are cheaper.

Obviously I’m aiming for 4x Traveler’s Backpacks in the end. Anything bigger than that is annoying since you can’t expand the base backpack and I always think of it as my main bag.

Kind of sounds like bag making isn’t a hot money maker. Maybe in the beginning it could be though. Just trying to figure out what professions I want.

Best bag is 28 slot soul bag

Runecloth bags are good because they’re pretty easy to make. Traveler’s backpacks are a nice upgrade if you have the gold for 'em. Mooncloth bags are questionable because of the cost to make them.

Only accepts souls though.

Yea but better for me as lock for the extra souls for raid gonna go for bottomless once I get the recipe
Edit: gonna save moon cloth for the bigger bag

Isn’t the soul shard bag like a guild effort? It’s very expensive to craft

I think the main think with it is the core leather so probably gotta wait till after armor is made

Edit yea needs 18 core leather so might take some time on the soul bag

Mooncloth just needs felcloth which you can farm. They are 16 slots and reusable. The best for Classic in my opinion.

Yes, but mooncloth is much more useful in gear, so it can be very expensive. Traveler’s backpacks drop rather often for farming players, so they often end up being cheaper. If you’re a tailor do what you want but I wouldn’t waste mooncloth on bags.

And if you lv some alts with tailoring and alchemy you can get some easy arcanite and mooncloth

Onyxia Hide Bag all the way.

Just go for the soul pouch. The ingredients aren’t bad and it’s a 20-slotter.

Isn’t it like, three months to make one mooncloth bag?

Everyone will want runecloth bags.
Then the travellers, which are found.

Only takes one Mooncloth per bag, and they only cost 2 Felcloth to make, but you can only make one every 3 days, 20 hours.

Lapis was suggesting leveling multiple toons with tailoring to create multiple in the same timeframe, same with alchemy and arcanite bars.

For some reason I was under the impression that it needed twenty something.

Ah well, mooncloth bags everywhere then.
Still choked by fellcloth though.

Unless they nerfed it at some point and Classic Wowhead hasn’t updated back to the Vanilla version: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=14155/mooncloth-bag

I don’t remember. It’s not still in the game I think. At any rate it was a 14 slot bag and bind on use. The runecloth and mooncloth bags were better since they didn’t bind to the first user.

14 Slot Bag

That’s on live, classic wowhead and classicdb both list it as a 20 slot bag.
On live, shard bags and ammo bags were turned into equivalent sized normal bags when both were taken out of the game.
