they start us off with a 16 slot bag
but I have some 30 slot bags
so my question is…
is their a way to delete the starter backpact they give us?

If you’re talking about your backpack which is the icon to far right then no, thats permanent. But any other bags can be replaced via dragging a new bag into their slot.
Nope, you’re stuck with it forever.
There is a way to upgrade it to a 20 slot bag, I’ve forgotten how though, hopefully someone will mention it. 
No, the base bag is fixed. You can however add an authenticator to your account and they will give you 4 extra slots and a cute core hound pup.

Once you get the 20-30 slot bags from the auction house the backpack shouldn’t really matter that much. Ive never used more than 3 bags unless i just ran an old raid or something.
They’ve mentioned that the backpack code is tied heavily to the character and they can’t remove it without causing serious problems. I think they did say they are working on it and the extra 4 slots is to tide us over until they can get it fixed.
