Can we get some bad luck protection for those of us that farm dungeons to a specific piece of gear? I am at like 30+ Grim Batol Keys trying to get a trinket and I have only seen it drop once and lost to a MW for it. Would be great if they could not repeatedly give you the same dumb ring you have gotten like 8 times already and increase your odds at getting the piece of gear you are targetting. Exceeding 30 runs for one item is obnoxious

that would be great, but unfortunately way too many people interpret this request as “just give me free gear” so it’s tough to get traction with it.

While I agree there should be some BLP, maybe pick a piece of gear at the start of the week and every time you don’t get it it raises chances.
The problem with BLP is, what is the incentive to ever run that dungeon or content again after getting the item you want?

My thoughts was if your character is selected to get loot, maybe they can not give you the same pieces you have repeatedly gotten so you have higher odds at getting the piece you want. Getting the same ring like 8x is soul crushing
That’s what crafted gear is for.
Not really, crafted trinkets are awful. There can be massive changes in dps based on what trinkets you have so targeting specific ones is commonly done by players.
But that’s the intent.
That doesn’t make any of us feel better, any way you slice it, it is bad design

Crafted gear was BLP which is recent, but RNG for drops has been around since the game’s been live.
If you want something to change when it’s been working the way it does for so long, you need a good reason. And if it does, more than likely, people stop playing sooner.
