TWW has brought some pretty cool additions with bags and banking but the good ol’ backpack feels like it has been left behind. 20 slots (16 if you dont have an authenticator) could add an additional 4-10 slots to at least match the typical 30+ bags.
Sounds insignificant, but I think my OCD is being poked by the devs. 
I think the 16 slots is fine but just give us the ability to replace the original bag slot to get that extra space

Apparently its code is so complicated that it’s impossible to let us replace it.
Yeah, I read that possibly a few years back? I am currently under the assumption or well hopefulness after recent changes to bags this can be changed/updated. They did manage to add 4 slots with the authenticator years ago as well.
all 36 slots for 144 bag space bring the hording on lol
I do need to do some house keeping because I have crap from long ago just collecting dust. At this point it just feels like an OCD thing. 38 slots 36 slots and then there is this guy at a whole 20 slots…
i just clean out my main bank out after making all bank slots with 36 slot bags for the bank lol i had a lot of useless stuff i horded 2 books of Grom Hellscream

I think you get 2 more slots if you add security to your account
I find it helps a bit if you combine bags and also use the single bag button.
I need to pay someone to clean my bags and bank already, cause wtf I have so much stuff.
I have an entire 30 slot bag in my bank filled with npc crap for the garrison in WoD so I understand. The books we could keep for lore purposes but mmaybe like a toy bookshelf to keep it all in 
Good lord, don’t get them to start messing with bags, next thing you know crap is going to start vanishing from personal inventories!!!
And they won’t say a word about it…
Oooof. Yeah that is scary. Not sure if its the missing items or the lack of response thats more terrifying.
This. They added four backpack slots in Legion for people with the authenticator and 2FA, but had to remove it before the patch first went live because it broke so much crap and the game was down almost the entire day.
They did eventually get it added in, though.
I know this is off topic but… when we craft/wear bags using professions, I’d like it to simultaneously unlock a transmog for our back or belt slot which looks similar to the crafted item… this would be very nice. We’d finally be able to wear our bags/backpacks on our characters.
Also, the vanilla pack that everyone starts with should be an obtainable back slot transmog.
Hmmm they do have a wide vareity of transmogs. A cloak into a backpack would be a cool adventurer look. Maybe even a belt with some pouches? I can dig it. If we can do pirates and such, this does not sound out of the realm of possibilities.
Play a Vulpera with an Authenticator, then have a full set of 36-slot bags and a 38-slot reagent bag. Also be sure to only have one PvE gear set and maybe one PvP set while having a quick-fire press on the ‘sell junk’ button whenever you get to a vendor.
Generally, if you only keep relevant things in your bag (things from current expansion or things you are actively using) and you just throw the extra stuff into the bank, inventory space isn’t nearly as limited. Like, if I kept around all the creation forge whatever stuff from Shadowlands in my bags, I’d be buried in junk and garbage but after dumping it all into the bank, auctionhouse, or vendors, all clean.
Honestly, when it comes to bag space and all that, what we need is to refresh things that already exist so they are useful again.
It is HIGH TIME they remove all the silly restrictions on the Void Storage, so we can use it as a proper bank to store more stuff. If it didn’t have so many restrictions more people would use it and it would alleviate the banks and bags situation a bit.
Majority of people I talk to, usually say: “I forgot that even existed.” because it is so impractical to use at the moment. I needs an update bad.
I dumped everything into banks minus hearthstone and 1 or 2 items I can’t think of off the top of my head, but you are on to something. Just click on each item until bags are full and then vendor/ah all of it. Cooking stuff from classic WoW sounds like trash and not even sure would be put to any classic cooking achievements.
Ive noticed a huge difference of organization on Warband banks compared to character banks. It’s kind of a relief to have a little extra room with a fresh start.
