back in the day I could kite Ol Gummers the elite whale shark from Redridge lake and drop him any where in Elwynn Forrest including SW, was funny as heck.
In my day, we called him Mankrik.
Heāll always be Mankirk, captain of the U.S.S. Barrenprise.
Warlocks farmed soul shards and hunters had to feed their pets.
Back in the day epics were actually epic. Seeing someone in purples was a epic sight. Now everyone has them and it isnāt as epic anymore.
Back in my day I had friends.
Back in my day, the only twinks were in SE Asia.
not to mention the legendaries. You could count them all on half a hand, they took 40 man raids to acquire for one person, months of work to put together, and pretty much everyone on the server knew the guy that had sulfuras or thunderfury.
I miss dungeon boosting people
Was nice going through SM and what not just to mass pull the entire dungeon and aoe them down for some cooool exp gains for friends
Back in my day you had to earn your Dreadsteed mount.
A man of culture
Back in my day, I fought the guards in Booty Bay while wearing my pirate outfit.
Oh⦠that brings back memories!
I used to fully level characters from 10-max, only doing battlegrounds.
PvP queues in the lower brackers are pretty much dead, and balance is god-awful, so itās not something Iāve done nor would recommend to anyone anymore.
But, it used to be how I leveled characters, learned them in PvP, and got a lot of honor at the same time.
Probably last did so around Legion.
I was one of the people who made those raid groups, we had around 15 people who would regularly run and it was whoever was on at the time, some nights we would steam roll WSG, other times join the bigger BG.
One of my all time favourite WSG matches lasted 2 and a half hours and it was ferocious, I canāt remember which side won, but the back and forth was incredible! So epic!
Aww, you need to get out of that meat factory!
A single AV match would last 2 days. You would play, log out, go to sleep, go to work and come back into the same match the next evening, then rinse and repeat.
We had a very tight community of folks who did pvp in certain brackets back then, to the point where it was not uncommon if someone logged in their other faction alt to see if people were up for joining cause they had enough on their side to get some games going.
I wound up making my first horde character just to play with them instead of against. Best decision I ever made. Was also really fun killing my own guildmates til I fessed up that I defected to the other side
Running through brd to get to MC
