Why?
Let’s see; If we can’t have “b” be in this game through one piece of dialogue, then:
- Any female character can’t be attacked or killed
- No violence should exist
- The “bad language” filter should be permanent on all accounts
- This entire game should become a happy, lovey dovey wonderland
The dev that spoke about this situation and made a big ruckus about how “someone’s kid might be playing this game and see that…” and how he went on to talk about making this game better for future generations was just hilarious.
Imagine not wanting your kid to play WoW because Garrosh uses a bad word once. Aren’t there other zones that kids could level in? What about the zones that kids would level in and see guts, gore, and experience horrific stories like the plaguelands? Or all of Northrend? Hello?

Repeat thread. Just post this on one of the many other threads about this topic. Thank you.
mind you kids have played through that line for a decade now and suddenly its a problem because one dev is a terrible parent

When I was a kid and saw/heard that, I didn’t even know what that word really meant. I just knew it was bad. I’m 21 years old now and still blame, as you said, terrible parents who act like bad words are really all that bad.

it’s gotta be a scapegoat and the real reason is steve doesnt want his queen being called bad words and insults.

I agree that it’s stupid to remove it now since it’s been there for like 10 years & the reason for it is suspicious, but it is what it is. Not going to be changed back & there’s nothing we can do about it so might as well get over it
.
who knows, if people raise enough of a ruckus they may just revert it.
What it is is suspicious and duplicitous. It’s sleazy. It’s wrong.
I’ve played WoW since i was seven, my dad wouldn’t let me quest in redridge because they cussed. That’s the way it should be: if you don’t want your kid hearing or seeing something, don’t let them do it, don’t ruin it for people who like to hear a little bit of swearing every now and then.
