Hey I rarely post on the forums but I have a question that I needed feedback from whole classic community. Does the [Azure Whelpling] little blue dragon non-combat pet exist? Or does it come in a later phase. I have a lot of gold on Kromkush-Horde and am interested in obtaining one. Thank you all for any replies/ helpful tips/ advice 
If I’m not mistaken, a variety of the whelps drop from their respective whelp types but is an insanely low drop rate.
I know the Crimson Whelp is a .01% drop rate.
It should - drops from the elite dragonkin in azshara - gl farming it because its too low a drop rate and doesnt sell for enough gold to make it worth farming and those mobs have no reason for anyone to kill them. So they are very rare.

According to https://wow.gamepedia.com/Azure_Whelpling the Azure Whelpling pet didn’t start dropping until TBC (Patch 2.3.0).

So i am still unsure if it exists in classic wow or not, I will be opening a ticket to ask a GM. I will let you all know

In classic the only ones that drop are the Black Whelpling, Crimson (Red) Whelping, and the Emerald (Green) Whelping. The other colors Blue and Bronze didn’t drop until later xpacs I believe.

No, I believe that was a Nether Whelpling.
Bronze I know was added during the Iron horde invasion event, you had to farm those elite guys forever to get a bronze whelp.
Looks like it was added as a BC drop as others noted. I checked the wowhead page for the item and the earliest comments are in patch 2.3.0
