Does the second boss in azure vaults seem to spawn adds a lot faster recently than it previously did, my group just could barely get spa done on the boss because adds were coming one after the other. We’d kill one and another would spawn instantly…. Just curious if anyone else noticed thiz
No, it’s the same, it seems your group’s dps was not enough to kill adds
That is about right for the add spawn rate. You can bring boss in for cleave but your group needs to care about the tank frontal that happens right after an add spawn and the ball. As a tank, I point cleave away and then move to the add but somehow my melee dps still get hit and then people ignore the orb and just die. Been having bad luck with DH’s locking themselves into an attack and just can’t move out of the way.
The fight is actually really easy (in my opinion) but lots of players just tunnel vision in pugs and die. It also does not help that during the second phase, people split up and get thundering then proceed to get stunlocked into an orb and die because they cant remove the buff due to distance and orbs in their way. To me, this just shows how mechanically underskilled most of the community is.
It’s better if one dps (preferably ranged) kicks the add to make it goes to the tank. Or just get a BDK to grip it to the boss. Azure Vault is super chill as a BDK. Idk why ppl think pwar is the best, but as a BDK I have chill runs in every dungeon except fortified HoV (BDK’s nemesis) and tree boss of AA (well only pwar is strong at this boss).
Yeah, as a guardian druid I am really jealous of BDK grip lol xD Yeah, I will probably call out for ranged kick on those but I noticed pugs dont even get near/bother with add unless im pulling boss to cleave it. Seems to be a theme for pugs where DPS wont do anything unless a tank directs them.
The illusions don’t move, even when interrupted, but they can be gripped in. Otherwise, the only cleave option is pulling Azureblade to them.

Dang, they should fix that issue. The boss fight becomes way better if the adds can move, otherwise the fight is super chaotic in pugs if the tank has to move the boss here and there all time
They move if you lose behind pillar. Otherwise grips/knocks work. Warr just does more dps in coordinated groups. I love bdk did couple 20s today. I do around 36k overalbin dungeons like nokhud and halls. Meanwhile my Warr friend with less gear is doing 45k.
I think bdk’s and pwar’s dmg will be more balanced when we have 4pcs tier.
Pwar tier gives a straight up 4% dmg increase, Bdk’s tier gives 10% dmg and haste buff and rune generation proc.
BDK’s dps scale well with its main 2ndary stats which are vers and mastery. Pwar’s shield charge, ravager, shockwave, thunderous roar have no scaling with its main stat, which is haste.
Yeah was thinking that. Especially now bdk wants to hard stack mastery. I hope I get my last piece next week but shall see. I could talk about bdk stuff till cows come home such a fun tank.
At lower keys, pwar can cheese 13% dmg from battle stance. But when the keys get higher, pwar mostly stay in def stance 24/7 and spam ignore pain instead of revenge.
Maybe pro pwars have some ways to do dmg at high keys, but when I played pwar on prepatch, considering my gears werent great, I was barely able to keep my ignore pain up from key 25.
Hmm my experience differed I was doing 30s on prepatch on my Warr and still had rage for revenge spam. Did get a bit boring since to me was brain-dead easy to play. I also used shield wall on cd since so easy to reset.
The same reason I dont play pwar this season despite being a meta slave. The only button that I feel not braindead is spell reflection.
About ignore pain uptime, idk I felt magic dmg drained my ignore pain so fast when I didnt have a cd to press. But again, I just jumped on pwar for fun for a month, so I wasnt a good pwar anyway.
Ah I see. I was a Warr main since BFA. I kept it geared in sl even though I mained DK so when prepatch came out I had a 300 ilvl Warr to muck around on. As long as you kept shield block up and had a weakaura for ignore pain,. Was very easy to do. My goal is to push world top 100 this time. ( I barely get title usually) so want to be safe this time.
My little war was fresh green during prepatch, I hate raiding so my only good pcs I had on my pwar was a heroic OWS, the rest were w/e I got from m+. May know how you pushed your key to 30? From keys 25+ it was a pain to pug a group for me, it took me at least 30 mins to fill all spots.
I mostly asked friends and pug 1/2. I only pug now to fill vault. High keys I ask people on bnet. Rather play with good players than randoms. This early into tier it’s a coin flip on if you get good or bad players.
Unfortunately, my friends are die-hard unholy and frost DKs. They would rather quit wow than not playing their specs. Unholy was great on prepatch, but it’s dogwater rn, frost has never been good for m+.
I am trying to add some people this season. Mostly trying to find healers. But pug dps become an issue for me at higher keys recently where they dont use def cds properly and get oneshot by unavoidable dmg
Yeah I’m the shot caller for my group. I track everything and will call for defensives. If you in disc you could try that helps a lot. On healer front, same boat only a handful of healers can handle the pressure. This toon I’ll eventually turn into resto since there is a healer shortage. If ever want to compare notes or just talk shop, hmu.
