Just a thought but wounldn’t it be cool if all the old quests that showed the player queen azshara like the ones in darkshore and azuna showed the bfa azshara model instead of a generic altered female naga model of old?
I mean there are still like 5 different models of Thrall floating around the various expansions. Would it be a good change? Absolutely, but the chances of it happening are pretty small.
Honestly I think the biggest offenders of multiple models are all orcs. Thrall, Garrosh, and Saurfang all have quite a few depending on where you go iirc.
I only see one Saurfang model nowadays. But agreed on the rest.
With Thrall it can make sense though, he’s changed over time.

Did Azshara make an appearance in dark shore? I remember her naga model for legion was just a sea witch silhouette.
Is he updated retroactively? I haven’t quested to level in a hot minute, but I am pretty sure Garrosh and Saurfang WERE using old models in like Borean Tundra still.
I remember doing Black Temple for the first time…

Garrosh is. Saurfang in Borean uses the new model.
With a lot of characters them changing makes sense, with Garrosh adopting the tusks of Mannoroth as warchief. Thrall no longer using the Doomhammer armor after Legion.
I wasn’t around then but I’m sure Illidan was still hot, especially if he was that developed. Did they give him an updated model in Legion in terms of polycount?

He was attractive in Legion but compared to some other people we had going on then he wasn’t too crazy. I can only imagine how bad he’d look if Thrall got his BfA model then.

She makes a cameo at the end when you get the horn of Cenarius, which the naga had captured. You kill the naga doing a ritual and she shows up all angry. Malfurion arrives and Azshara is like “lawl noob, this is just a distraction, Ragnaros is gonna burn your mountain tree”.
Ragnaros? What does Azshara have anything to do with Ragnaros?

It won’t happen. I still remember the day when blizzard announced cata and said that they’ll update the TBC and wrath quests to fit the revamped world. It never happened.
