Azshara Isn't Dead

No we control the tide stone to keep it open now

I think I like N’zoth less than Azshara…

She dies her 3rd time when he consumes her in shadow. She is totally dead now and was played like a violin. Women are not always right, as big bad N’zoth just showed her.

Whew.
Kinda what I figured. Just making sure not to be a floater in what my buddies call that “zone”.

It sounds like you are mostly just jealous of the glory that is tentacles. It’s understandable, people are jealous of things they can’t have.

I’m betting some twisted void version of Azshara will be the next-to-last boss in the final raid.

Then people will complain they did nothing meaningful with her character following the cinematic.

She’s still dead and consumed by shadow. She will just be a mindless zombie play-toy to the gods of darkness.

Of course N’Zoth can come over and say “lol your not safe” and destroy it sinking us all, but he seems to have special plans for us.

She’s not dead until she stops breathing and I loot her head.

Oh wait, we don’t loot heads anymore…

I mean, Jaina was there and her Water Magic worked just fine on the Blight but she couldn’t blow away some smoke?

We’ll fight Azshara again, probably in the next raid, if not, the next expansion.

I’m imagining a Garrosh esque type fight where she’s ugly and mutated by the powers of N’Zoth.

Yep, MoP/Garrosh 2.0 with Azshara getting the Old God juice instead of Sylvanas. Or maybe they both do and it’s one of those 2 boss fights.

Lets be fair, she got what she wanted out of her plan by releasing N’Zoth AND survived (hopefully). She duped us from beginning to end and the only hiccup was we hit her more than she would have liked.

Really?

My take on her little cinematic at the Sundering was that she wanted to be Queen of the World or dead and left N’Zoth no choice but to save her and the other Highborne or otherwise he’d still be buried in the ocean with no actually useful minions.

Therefore an unbound N’Zoth wouldn’t necessarily please her.

SPOLIERS

Well the cinematic only shows the end. During the raid she uses our Heart of Azeroth to start that machine you see in the cinematic that ticked down and then released N’Zoth. She may be vain but she held up her end of the deal to release N’Zoth, its why she kept goading us to come to her rather than simply collapse the water down on us all.

Its how lore works my friend. Ysera dies and cannot be saved, and then Chromie immediately says “Hey lets go back in time and save myself from being assassinated” so we do that. Why not also go back and save Ysera? :man_shrugging:

A few options:

The Doctor Who theory could apply that Ysera’s death may be a fixed point in time and cant be undone, even if you tried to change it it would still happen somehow.

Perhaps the consequences of saving her are too dire to attempt, such as Xavius still having the Tear of Elune and doing something far worse with it.

Chromie is really the One True Pure Cinnamon Bun and she must be protected no matter the consequences.

Either way, it applies to sooooo many character deaths. You’re sitting there as a priest like “Hey man, I can rez you… no seriously, you don’t have to die I have both rez and heals, you could easily come back from this.” npc dies

I appreciate the Starship Troopers reference that seems to go over everyone’s heads.
