For some reason, when I speak with Magni during the Azeroth’s Voice quest, there are no voices during the cutscene and all characters go mute after it. i can even log in a different character, and all npcs are mute. I have to close the game and restart it for the voices to come back.
Kinda ironic that he quest named Azeroth’s Voice makes everyone mute.
I can confirm this issue myself, doing the cutscene does indeed make all characters to go mute. I even tried clicking on some Dalaran Guards and they would not speak. Restarting the game (closing and reopening it) seems to fix the mute character issue. So be careful when carrying this quest out in the same session on multiple toons.

Tried logging out and back in, still does not fix the issue. I have no f!@#$ clue what’s going on in the cut scene.
Guess I’ll have to do the “wowhead” thing and go to Youtube to get the answers.
i can confirm this, once you do this quest all voice lines in game stop working. Guards, quests, raid rp, bosses. So far anything i do that is suppose to talk to me doesnt since doing this quest chain today.
when i logged in today voices were doing fine. Heard voices up to go into heart chamber and doing the ritual quest.
Just to try an fix on my own. I scanned my WoW install while i was posting this using the bnet scan repair option
THIS did fix the issue for me once, after it ran its full cycle and i got back into game things were talking at me again.
Quest should still not break the game voices obviously
unbelievable to have problems this early in the quest line. idk how this even happens
I can’t imagine what launch is going to be like if we already have an issue like this in a frickin’ pre-patch.

Same issue here. Have to say… this is a 1st time I’ve have a quest mute all in game dialog before. Trying the scan & repair option right now so fingers crossed. I don’t want to have to do this EVERYTIME I do this quest on an alt so I’m hoping they fix this ASAP.
Running the scan and repair tool now to see if it works. I also was doing fine until the cutscene, then no dialogue audio. Tried logging in on another character, disabling all mods, still nothing. I abandoned the quest before turning it in so I’m curious if the scan and repair works.
If you exit out and back in, it fixes the npc dialog. Even if you just log out and to another character, that character’s dialog is silent as well. Even if not doing anything related (I was in Tomb of Sargares and the dialog wasnt working. In that specific case, I was ok with it. But it’s still an issue)

Scan and repaired, it found some issues, logged back in and could hear, however after watching the cutscene again where Magni gets lifted up in the air and knocked back the sound messed up again. Something about that cutscene, not sure what’s happening because I can’t hear it lol
can anyone confirm if it happens later on in the questline? I’m thinking about just finding the cutscene on youtube or something and moving forward, but if I have to scan and repair after every quest I might just skip out on the pre-patch stuff until it’s fixed
A new build went out at 5:16pm pst that fixed this issue.
It’s a large bunch of voice lines throughout the game that seemed to break.
8 months later, still a problem on launch. =\ Now it’s the quest Rook Rally…
