Azeroth crates system is a complete failure

Hello I’ve been loving all of SOD but my only issue is the wayward crate system has been so poorly implemented & shows this system failed horribly by lowering the rep grind to friendly witch is better overall but locking critical runes behind this tedious rep grind where you have to stop what you are doing & waste x amount of time traveling is not fun gameplay.

I just finished leveling my priest to 25 to find out i can’t restore any crates as of today with the restore tool. This Really discourages me from leveling any other classes knowing i have repeat this pointless grind. This grind is a tedious waste of time.

● remove the pointless unique 1 to allow people to carry multiples crates while out questing or remove this system from the game.

● this system by itself wastes arbitary time & is not fun gameplay to make a decision to stop what you are doing & waste time

It was never supposed to be a quick rep to farm imo…

That being said, people found ways and farms to get it done.

I personally didn’t mind it and I reached honored in about 4hrs of farming crates and turning them in.

People already have completed almost everything at 25 and now complain about nothing to do…

Do you REALLY want to have something handed to you quicker and be “DONE” with the lvl 25 phase 3-4 weeks before the next phase?

Weird. I haven’t seen a single crate since hitting “friendly” – maybe that’s just rng. It’s been about a week or so now.

That was never supposed to be a thing, and was fixed. Destroying and restoring was a manipulation of the system.

That i understand but what im pointing out here is this system was poorly implemented where i have to make a choice to stop what i am doing & go tackle it because if i come across another crate which i have multiple times now. i have to make a choice to abandon that crate or delete the one i have. This dose not feel well thought out gameplay. It would feel way more satisfying to turn in 5-10 crates all at once vs 1 crate every 10 - 30 mins. This system is designed to waste pointless time & not everyone has that freedom to do so

i see their vision. I like the system…

I’m enjoying playing in SOD as well. I agree that the crate system is a horrible and poorly implemented design idea. Gaining faction in order to get access to the runes your class may need is a time-gate mechanism - nothing more. Get rid of it.

I’m lucky if I find more than a couple crates in 4 hours.

there are methods… they have a high drop chance out of crates, so you go grab gathermate, run to a place with a lot of crate spawns, and farm them. you usually get 1 each opening. I went 2 crates dry once.

The crates feel poorly designed, and kind of dumb. Like a late afterthought addition.

The crates are part of it, but its a big push to get people into the PVP aspect of it as well, most of the later rep will be from that. Im not really big into PVP so im bearing the rep rewards turn in, ill get there eventually.

anything I don’t like = poor design

A typical lazy attempt at adding content much like this first phase…
To top it off they made them unique just to make it even more frustrating.

As someone who just grinded to honored I have 2 issues with the create system.

  1. The unique(1) aspect of the unfilled box needs to be at least unique(3). If I ran back to a capital city ever time I had a box it would take me forever to level at all.

  2. Since I mostly ignored them well leveling I now have to go to “lower level” area close to a city and farm them (Redrige Gnolls or Elywnd Gnolls) as it is the most efficient way thus stealing chest, mobs from people who are trying to level.

That grind takes like…2 seconds…is it really an issue? Like, its soemthing you can do while doing literally anything else and booom, you have the rep without even noticing…

Oh, my.

Thoughts and prayers.
