It isn’t fun. It’s annoying. I would like the rune as a rogue to try out the tanking but I’m just not willing to search for chests for hours and hours. Is there any other way to get this reputation up? Is it literally rng chests or drops and this is the only possible way?

We just need to be allowed to carry multiple unfilled crates.
Literally fixes 80% of the problems with the rep.
It is a nice easter egg treasure chest hunt that puts a lot of traffic on the streets, makes the world seem lively.
look for a location that matches your other goals like a place to loot treasure chest that have skinnable monsters nearby, or ore or, humanoids that drop cloth, or have a drop you are after, or are quest related.
Make it close to your desired turn in. There are locations 1 flight point from every capital, (Wetlands, Redridge/Duskwood etc.)
Ashenvale has a bonus of using our pvp mount to get back to the flight path but chests are a little scarce. I’ve gotten more drop crates in Ashenvale than others. Then make friends with crafers in the guild and stock up on potential components like wool or leather or silver and swap items.
it goes by pretty quick when you’re focused on it, just don’t focus ONLY on it, if you get bummed pug a group and then get back to, treat it like unranked pvp matches haha.
I did it over 3 or so days casually with a few gold spent on the AH for crates I had partially completed, say maybe around half were turned in empty, no big loss.
Also drives a lot of street interaction haha, I had some get agitated when I was out there, then when we talked he ended up giving me some components!
I’m happy enough to not bother and live without the runes locked behind rep.
The thousands of Meta warlocks standing around blocking the mailbox and the auction master say “hi”.
Should have done it while you were leveling instead of ignoring and deleting the boxes. The “grind” would have been a breeze.

It’s is bad plain and simple. I turned in most of the crates I found and I’m barely halfway to friendly. My goal was to be a tank rogue, but even with people helping I’m dead in the water due to this RNG crap. The crates should be a bonus with other means to earn rep. Not the only source.
