What will make or break this system for me is how convenient having a house will be and how I can unlock it´s perks.
If a lot is hidden behind raiding or mythic / premade content, then this is not for me. At the same time, I want to decorate my house based on my accomplishments and professions, from over 20 years of playing.
I hope that I am able to build crafting tables, so that I no longer need to visit the cities, I also hope to have a storage hub. The AH is not needed, I can use the one in town, but storage and crafting is a must for me.
So far, we only saw “transmog” housing, which is fine, but a house hopefully has more functions than just being a house to decorate.
What we also saw in the videos is “instanced” housing, so I guess the ship has sailed in regards of dynamic housing like Ultima Online, without loading screens. We also don´t have real windows we can look out of, that is quite a shame…
That also means, nobody from the outside can actually see inside my house and just the garden may be public and visible.
And please, don´t make neighborhoods the new towns, it´s already bad enough with the capitals and the crowded dino trolls everywhere, so that we can not access certain NPC´s or mailboxes.
The new trend is to park the dino infront of the bank and AH it´s just so…
