So I didn’t really know where to post this. I’m having a problem with the Azeroth Autopilot Addon. I was questing in Ashenvale when the addon told me to grind EXP into level 24. Instead of doing that I went to the Wetlands, picked up a few quests and completed them to get to level 24. But for some reason AAP reset the questline and started a questline in the wetlands. It tells me to pickup quests that I’m ineligible for. I used /aap skip to get through the quests I can’t pickup but I’m eventually confronted with a message that says “Quests missing 299” I can’t skip it and if I reset it just gives me the quests I can’t pickup again. I tried going back the Ashenvale and completed 3 quests there. It didn’t help. I uninstalled the addon and deleted the WTF folder. It didn’t help. I uninstalled wow classic and reinstalled it. It didn’t help. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
You should post this on the comments section of where you got the addon as well. I cannot help you, but someone else here may be able to.
Seems like you interrupted the algorithm. To fix it, grind mobs and level until it self corrects and updates. Could dungeon level till then or something.
I got it from the Twitch app
Usually addon woes are fixed by deleting the .lua file associated with the addon. These are found in your Saved Variables folder, either in the general SV or under individual server/toons.
I went to duskwood, completed quests and got to level 25. No luck yet.
I know nothing about your add, however Questie is pretty user friendly. It doesn’t tell you “Do this till 24” but It does show every quest available for your level on the big map, as well as the quest objective locations. It sounds like it would fit your playstyle better.
Do you really need an addon to tell you where to go and what to do?
Does it play the game for you as well?
AAP doesn’t work correctly, I tried it on my first character. If you get out of sync with it, it never seems to correct itself.
i would just install questie if you need help with quests. It doesn’t tell you where to go, but leveling routes are pretty easy to figure out. Once you get to 30 or so the questing gets less annoying since you start getting only 2-3 zones with level relevant content instead of 6.
Those auto pilot in game guides also end quest chains before they get to the part that requires a group, grouping is like 70% of the fun in this game. Not to mention if you decide to run a dungeon you won’t have the quests at the end of the chains for it.
At 25 I would do wetlands and the east side of redridge, east side of redridge is around the 23-26 level. Since you are on a PvE server Hillsbrad is also a good option. You will be running between duskwood, redridge, and wetlands until like 32 when you can get to STV.
I’ll use that for now, thank you.
This was my experience as well. The thing is far more trouble than it’s worth.
Yup, and I would have it play the game for me if I could. I don’t have 5 hours a day to blow on this game
I like questie. Can still mouse over the quests on map and choose dense locations
Have you considered switching to a game you enjoy playing?
I never said I didn’t enjoy playing it
But you don’t have time to “blow” on this game so you either enjoy it or you find it a waste of time. There are plenty of other games out there that exist without the grind, so you don’t have to “blow” (waste) any time playing them. Maybe retail is more for you, you can pay blizzard to play the game for you that you are currently paying to play. Unfortunately blizzard does not play the raids for you too so you will actually have to earn your own gear, for now.
okay, cool
Guidelime works great for what you want. Guidelime is modular so there’s a few different guides you can download. I’m using Tugg’s alliance guide. It’s been good so far. Most of the guides I’ve seen are geared for speed leveling.
You have to download both for it to work. It’s on twitch. Never leveled alliance so this helps.
Have you deleted the addon.lua yet? Try it.
