Azerite Vendor is Bad. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just wrong

one 385 is 675… 60+60+12+12 is 144… far cry from every other week…

They are absolutely farmable. You get a set number of the resource every week, and that number increases the higher key you do, extending all the way through 20.
Work on getting higher and higher keys done so you can get your weekly reward.

Remember, this is only for the WEEKLY level reward.
Its extremely generous to even allow people to work on that outside of the weekly M+ cache, so that should only be looked at as a favor, nothing else.

You will not be earning 415 gear from world quests, so any randomness you might incur while doing so is still better than the alternative of not being allowed to do - like it was in 8.0.

the 3rd party stuff that blizz lets ppl put into and ruins their game is mind numbing

Yeah… why do players who get a ring slightly better or worse than their current ring need bad luck protection? Especially those still running around with a bloody trinket from a heroic But a dang trinket that’s a massive upgrade never drops for him and he’s been at this for weeks now

I liked valor. I liked Honor as a currency. I liked Conquest as a currency. I liked Justice as a currency. It’s not that I could jerk around in a raid and farm up and get them, but because they were a good fallback mechanic when the game decided I didn’t deserve anything for my efforts and it gave an actual sense of progression and working towards something.

“Yeah we bit the bullet in this BG but hey man, I’m only 800 honor away from a new staff!”

“Well crap, nothin dropped for me in Firelands but at least I got some JP so if everything keeps going south I can buy a new hat that’s slightly worse than what I’d get here but way better than the heroics I’m in.”

Don’t settle. You are better than that, and if you need help realizing that I and many others can help you do so.
Do your own key, and make friends and meet like-minded players along the way. Always be trying to improve and be as consistent as possible.

Eventually, you will look back on this notion that

and chuckle.

It won’t be enough, They will keep pushing till it is a daily reward and one tied to a weekly quest. I have seen this happen again and again. It isn’t about mythic plus they see this as free mythic raid gear and will fight in a mad frenzy till they can get it changed to be so.

This is how badges started…

I would like to see more meaningful rewards in game. I get the idea behind the vendors for the azerite gear or quartermasters selling gear at an exalted level, but the truth is, we tend to out gear it well before we can earn them. Which is a shame. So basically we can grind out either the rep / or the currency required to purchase a piece of gear, but what good is it if by then we are on average 20 ilvls higher by that point.

I’m not saying the gear needs to be top of the line, but if it were a lil higher in ilvl people may be more excited to farm for it, being that it would still be worth it in the weeks it takes to earn.

AZERITE VENDOR IS BAD. ANYONE WHO THINKS OTHERWISE IS JUST WRONG

Rather presumptuous of you to say that I’m wrong when I have yet to even meet the Azerite vendor and had the opportunity to form my opinion of their character.

Oh my lanta the white knighting is getting old dude.

Mythic plus has been turned into a sore spot for a ton of players. I get that some people like it. I’m not opposed to it personally, but the effort for the reward is just not there. Not for the people that don’t have 24 hours a day to farm and play.

They should have scrapped this whole thing and let people get Azerite from the end of dungeons .

I guess I’m not explaining my thoughts properly because this expansion’s endgame gearing process has been incredibly underwhelming. I feel like by the end of the night I haven’t achieved anything.

I had the same feeling in Legion too but I enjoyed the content itself so I didn’t mind the gearing process as much but it still felt really bad.

You should be grateful that blizzard is letting you get gear… its a privilege of this expansion to even be able to log on…

Its why my group stopped doing them, we did not want to be doomed to doing the same dungeons for an entire exp. They got turned into a chore rather then a challenge.

To me, the bellyaching is getting old.

Its illogical to say the effort for the reward is not there. There is no other system in the game that hands out this much player power for very little investment, with such short commitment timers.

Dislike it all you want, but if its a “sore spot” for you and others, then there isn’t much to discuss here.
No matter what they do, if you dislike the content, it still wont be enjoyable for you.

They will simply work towards stripping the reward out of the content. Their goal here isn’t to run mythic+ it is to turn azerite gear into the legendary system at the end of legion. It is the prize they want not the journey.

The problem I think a lot of people have is there’s a giant roadblock after you get your warfront gear. After that gearing is just tedious and awful afterwards. You can’t target what you want. You’re stuck either raiding (which is fine) or doing mythic+ which is tedious as hell. This system just sucks.

That sounds like a perception problem, as this expansion, as well as legion, has demonstrably handed out more rewards than any others, for smaller and smaller investment schedules.

If anything, THAT might be the problem.
You are bombarded with stuff you don’t really want, so when the stuff you do want finally comes, it feels less valuable.
But its not.
Factually.

Its important to be objective when talking about this sort of thing.
Otherwise, it turns into asking Blizzard to do something they should never consider doing.

Sorry you feel that way, but that sounds like you just don’t like WoW.
When has gearing every been different than this?
Raiding and now M+ give the best gear in the game, so if you don’t enjoy them, then what can be done?

You greens are getting old man. you’re just trying to keep your MVP status by jumping on the grenade for Blizzard. Just stop. The azerite system is a disaster, even the Devs in the QnA weren’t happy how it was turning out.
… and the Mythic plus vendor is a joke. They basically took always any chance you could have gotten at a piece of gear and said… grind for 10 weeks and you can get one good piece.

But they’ve already considered it because they’ve already done it. I don’t understand.
