Looking at recommendations for Azerite Traits, Icy-Veins only discusses Spec specific outer ring traits, as they say the general ones are not up all the time and therefore negligible to our spec traits.
Is that really the case for warriors? Do only spec traits have value? Do I really want ignore Blood Rite which offers a chance at a decent amount of haste for Blood Sport? Or any others that offer haste as-well?
Look again, it’s written about outter, mid and inner traits. On single target and aoe. Also yea some spec soecific are great and some general are good too. Look at it again, and when it doubt, sim yourself!
It really depends on what you’re doing.
I mainly play arms so some examples are raiding vs mythic + vs pvp.
Raiding you want one piece to have the reorigination array to buff your secondary stats. Secondary stats are huge early in an xpac because getting it from the initial wave of gear is low. This is also why a socket adds so much value to a slot currently. I personally love how arms plays with executioners precision as it’s similar to legion and it performs well in uldir.
Mythic plus can vary week to week but you can drop your uldir trait because you no longer get the stat bonus.
Pvp crushing assault is awesome if you triple stack it because it hits like a truck when it procs.
Honestly arms has some of the most variance in azerite traits between ToM, LoW, EP and seismic wave. Try them out and see what you like. If you aren’t pushing cutting edge stuff it’s really about what you end up feels the most fun to you, the class specific ones can actually change how you play vs on proc stat windows of the general ones or dmg procs. Sorry that was way longer than I intended.

Apologies, my OP was not quite as clear as I thought I wrote it to be, my bad. I'm talking about only Prot Warrior.
For prot I’d say one piece of deafening Crash is pretty much required as it helps you keep demo shout rolling, besides that none of them seem leaps and bounds game changing. For raiding the one piece of reorigination array is still huge.
I've had really good up time on the mastery pvp trait. Something like 60%+. The guides prioritize reliability over procs. Imo, reprisal is the only trait that is marginal. We don't have a Sim, but you want to test how they work out with your play style.
Bloodrite might be insane for chain pulling m+. Without a way to Sim it, hard to tell.
