Azerite Trait: Rezan's Fury

So, the Azerite Trait “Rezan’s Fury” has some questionable things happening at the moment in terms of how it functions.

The trait does the following…

Your damaging abilities have a chance to call a Child of Rezan to viciously rend your target, dealing 3459 Physical damage and causing them to bleed for 6920 damage over 12 sec.

Which summons this little guy–

Cute little bugger, yeah? Anyway, your damaging abilities have a chance to cause this little guy to appear where you are and then run over and attack your current target. Keep in mind that its specifically “Your Current Target”

For most DPS, this isn’t a problem because you should be targeting enemies you are actively engaged with when it procs. The problem comes into play when, for whatever reason, you have an enemy you are not engaged with targeted.

So, for example, say you have dots up on some enemies you are currently engaged with and then target an enemy you are not engaged with (For whatever reason, maybe to incompacitate, root, cc, ect or even an accidental tab target) and “Rezan’s Fury” procs it will send that adorable little raptor over to attack that target.

I actually have a video example showing this off from a healer friend of mine who took the trait for pushing higher keys (Where healers, during down time, will do DPS to help speed up the keys) In this situation, which will be shown below via twitch clip, our healer who was dealing damage to targets we were engaged with had targeted an enemy we were not in combat with when the trait procced thus causing an unintentional pull.

At around 15 seconds you can watch as Rezan’s Fury procs at the feat of her character and runs off behind here, attacking a group that the party is not in combat with and in the process pulling the group.

I truly believe that this is not intended and is simply an oversight into how the ability functions, but this ability can be problematic if it procs at the wrong time. I think that the trait in question should send the procced “Child of Rezan” only to targets you are actively in combat with who are not pacified -or- to the target that took damage that procced the effect.
