Hi, So for some reason, I experience two long load screens during the Gambit M+ run.
First at the beginning, when the key is counting down, it’s stuck on that squiggly screen. I can cast spells and heal during this time, but the screen thing remains, and I’m unable to move for a few seconds. I don’t have this issue with any other dungeons during their initial load screens.
Second is after we defeat the first boss, there’s another squiggly load screen, which for some reason, takes me an extra few seconds to load into as well. I’m again able to cast spells on players within range, but I can’t move or see anything else on the screen.
It also does this after the Pirate dragon during the same load screen, but there’s not a dangerous pack immediately after, so I can tolerate this one.
Is anyone else experiencing long load times for these transition periods in this dungeon? or is this an issue with my interface?
Thank you

I had this same thing last night. Did you figure out the cause?

no idea what is causing this issue…i’m glad i’m not alone tbh cuz i hope it’s not just an addon i’m using. Other players in the party seem to be loading before me
Yeah I’m going to try deleting all add-ons (with backup). I read that disabling doesn’t work and that you have to delete them all with wtf and cache but haven’t given it a go yet.

Well I tried deleting all add-ons, cache and wtf. Still slow loads in taravesh and randomly slow zone loads. Did you fix yours?

so I think i may have figured out what happened at the first load screen for Gambit.
If I teleport to the gambit starting zone (stormheim) by speaking to the NPC at the dungeon’s entrance, the load screen goes a lot faster. I’m guessing that since my group loaded the keystone at the streets entrance, it puts me through two load screens, hence the extra time.
However, those white squiggly loads (One right after you kill the first boss, and one after the pirate dragon) still give me that “blind” mode where I can cast spells to those in range, but can’t see anything on the screen or move.
Other players are experiencing the same thing, as a few people in game, including the tank reported it to me last time I ran the dungeon.
so, I think this is an issue on blizzard’s end tbh, but I didn’t delete addons or WTF yet

Hey I fixed my load times. There is a check box in the system settings that says “optimise network for speed”. I unchecked that now I load almost instantly.

okay tysm for that information, I’m going to try that…do you think that by unchecking that box I’ll be sacrificing somewhere else though? The tooltip made it seem like I could be, but i’m not very tech savvy so idk
Lol yeah idk. I read an old post on mmochamp. Apparently it’s meant to increase bandwidth usage to improve latency. It def fix my load issues disabling it and my ping hasn’t changed.

Did not fix my issue. Anyone heard of anything else?
Yeah the issue came back for me as well. I tried completely erasing all add-ons, wtf and cache. Idk at this point I might try a clean PC reinstall. It’s weird because sometimes I instant load and sometimes I slow load. One thing I’ve found that helps is doing a reload UI before starting the key (like load into the key area using the teleport to the second start and then doing a /console reload UI). The whole thing is super frustrating.

I was farming that place for neck basically last 2 weeks. About 1 in 10 were near insta, it was memorable. I’ve done everything the forums mention. I’ve isolated addons, I’ve done Heroic mode with no addons, I reset my cache, wtf, interface, I’ve unchecked optimize in the system settings- can’t remember what else has been done.
There’s ppl in my groups that say tanks have issues loading it specifically because of some bug, which is the theme for S3 Encrypted and tazavesh streets and gambit.
Are you running an Nvidia gc by chance?
No I have a Radeon 5700 XT.
I haven’t done the fresh install yet but I will I a week when I’m on vacation. I’ll update here if it helps.

I do want to add that it seems to only affect my first run of the day for the portal load times.
The “natural” fix I found for Gambit is to just make sure you load into Stormheim’s entrance at the start of the run. You’ll experience a long load time, but when the keystone is activated, that load screen won’t be extended.
The second portal seems to only be extended on my first Gambit run of the day (assuming I run it a couple times). The subsequent runs, I experience no portal issues at all.
Haven’t messed with any addons or reinstalls.

Well I fixed it. I reset all of the in game settings to recommended (Kept all my addons as they were). Now everything instant loads. The thing is I’ve run the game on ultra for ages and when I’m loaded in the fps is around 90 furthermore it only sometimes (~3/4 of the time) loads slowly so I didn’t think it was related to my graphics settings but apparently it was. I guess I’ll just run wow on 8 now.

Hey I don’t know if you are still having this issue. I thought I had fixed it a few times but it kept coming back. Finally I did a full reinstall of windows and wow. Totally fixed it… Instant loads with ultra settings now. I backed up my weakauras and reinstalled the same ones. Not a fun fix though and I really hope it doesn’t come back.

I am still experiencing the issue as described unfortunately
i have all my stuff backed up, but i’m so scared to reinstalll windows is it a really big pain to do?
If you have everything backed up it’s just a few hours of clicking screens and downloading stuff. Make sure your actually have everything backed up though!

Kind of ridiculous to have to do a complete reinstall of windows to fix an issue affecting one dungeon in one game, with no other hardware issues on the system being experienced.
Having the same issue on the ports after the first and second boss. Blind for about 20 seconds until it loads after the first boss, blind for about 7-10 seconds after the second but that one’s not as big a deal because the area’s not immediately dangerous.
However, it is Quaking week, so guess what? People who don’t move or blindly move into multiple quakes die. So now it’s an issue.
Already did a complete fresh removal (by changing folder names) and reinstall of all plugins (and only added about 50-60% of them back, to cut down on overhead). Didn’t work. Did a reset of system to recommended, no obvious change.
As noted elsewhere, it’s the only dungeon that has the issue but has real ramifications beyond just annoyance depending on keys, esp at high levels. Any other solutions?
