Are Blizzard the cheapest company by far, when you look at how much the game makes and how much they pay the players who sign up to compete?
I’m pretty sure that Tipsout, a steamer not a company, put together a duel tournament with a $50,000 prize pool in Classic WoW.
Blizzard must really care about the players that play the game.
Maybe they could sell toys or something on the shop. Then use that money to just pay for the tournaments full prize pool, so they don’t have to pay anything. That way the players might get a little more.
Oh yea nvm, they did they did that. Maybe do it again so the players get a little extra money.
They should be ashamed of themselves.

Fortnite came out 5 years ago and blizzard still hasnt caught on to how much people are willing to spend on cosmetics, its actually kind of goofy they havent made changes to the shop. If they did, these prize pools could be exponentially higher.
From what I remember, the toy money was the only money that went towards the one blizzcon prize pool. I think when the campaign started it looked like blizz was going to match the money that was earned through the toys and potentially double the pool. But yeah, that didn’t happen.
Blizzard paying people to play RMP should get them flagged by homeland security

It did, but it was only up to a certain amount. Blizzard said they’d cover whatever the difference was if it didn’t meet the goal. Everyone thought Blizzard was going to add that on top of the prize pool because it was worded weird.
They said minimum of 500k or something, but the wording suggested that more might be added based on the amount of people that bought the toy, or something?
dont tournaments have to actually be entertaining to have high prize pools? doubt 5k viewers is gonna cut it
sucks for the players that this meta is bad but they all copy each other regardless

I thought AWC prizepool has been 200k for quite some time? The 10k sounds like the prize for the smaller qualifier tournaments.

iirc the one time they did, they didnt put the money from some toy into the prize pool, someone can correct if im wrong
