They are to chaotic and you cant see individual plays or really see any plays at all with everything flying around.

You could say that about a number of televised team sports.

Not really in something like football or league or whatever it is there are fewer players which means its easier to track everything all of them are doing.

I’ve played epics since like… idk bfa or legion and i still don’t know whats going in them i just go in press every aoe cc i have instantly before i get aoe cc’d and then thats it.

why not both?

Visibility = buzz = more players = more subscriptions = profit.

You could possibly do this in Blitz. But even there you’re pushing the player count to where it’s hard to keep track of everything that’s going on.

Then again it can’t be any worse than arena tournaments, which just look like glorified pet battle simulators.

Am I the only one who has a clue whats going on?

Casting a Blitz a game or EBG you focus on objectives rather than player casting cooldowns, Overall team damage/healing and map positions vs map control.

It could be entertaining, but I’d have more fun playing competitive Epics on New maps of course.

I have no clue what is going on in AWC most of the time tho.

Battlegrounds in general are just too chaotic for this to work well.

Could do with a map showing player movement then a close in eagle eye view of objective fights :stuck_out_tongue: maybe

They would just have to cast bgb like they do with SC2.

Some truth in that OP, years n years I raided and did RBGs w friends, and not once had I known someone who watched or was excited for AWC. Its like a closed sport for an elite few to pat themselves on the back, give one another prizes.

But you look at documentaries about Starcraft and it grew into a national sport, their players became famous stars. Blizz fails to make it open to or generate excitement among gamers.

They could though, clean up and improve on the SOLO brackets, top players in the world get a gold ticket to Blizzcon, every player in the game has a shot. Not just rich kids whom are funded to travel the world taking part in tournaments.

You look at your famous sports ball team going to the cereal bowl, players dont say the whoever won, they say WE won, their team won, they feel they have a place in the action. These AAA companies are tone deaf.

Just like football

Regional might be good for later after the waters have been tested and momentum built.
For now, bracketed EBG or BG championships would get the ball rolling.

Arena is fun for those with the skill, but BGS are more accessible and camera friendly.

It’s a new time. This could be the start of something enormous.

YEP, Blizz needs to improve and run with it… High end PvP and PvE, its an ELITE sport for professional players who do this for a living. Its highly gatekept, and divided from the rest of the gamers. Players dont watch it or care, because they dont feel they have any connection to it. Sports is a great example because look how people act over their favorite team winning. Its not that team or those random players, ITS THEIR TEAM, and they cheer saying WE won lol.

“Epic” BGs are the lowest form of content that this game offers. Lower than WQing. All these dudes in them think that they are Patton with their 1300 lifetime arena achievements.

I dont think Epic BGs are the lowest, they are just unpopular because for a long time now when you queue them for them, it means you auto LOSE, and get farmed for 30 min because its a premade.

They could be a ton of fun is Blizz actually spiced them up. One thing Blizz could do is END the premade crap, imagine that both teams are a pug, both teams have good and bad players, its chaos… Imagine joining and Epic BG not knowing if you will win or lose eh eh?

They don’t remotely resemble PvP. They are PvP for people terrified of PvP.
