AWC Spring Cup #1

True scumbag stuff. This community is so bad about finding an obvious bug and exploiting it to the maximum effect.

Remember when Fel Lords were woodchipper clowning stuff 100-0 in 1 second and people were just spam queueing as it?

We suck.

Forgot about that but regardless nothing holds a candle to the RBG community finding and exploiting things.

Ok, that will be our moral highground.

At least we’re not the RBG kids

Not surprised to see Metaphorz and Nessper being the dudes exploiting to win. Disgusting.

Wonder how they’ve tried to spin it on their twitch channels.

Intended or no, if a broken talent/ability is in the game, it’s available to play for any team. The same argument of “other teams could have abused lively spirit and earth ele traits” can be made for this tourny and neurotoxin. So I think you can still compare the 2 for karma’s sake.
Plus even if abusing those traits in 8.0 was an intended mechanic it doesn’t make it right. Both the trait and talent abusing should’ve been hotfixed and prevented from being used in a tournament setting.

And btw “Speaking of Nessper, when are they hotfixing Neurotoxin?” is my 1st post here just so we’re on the same page. I lose to it as well and refuse to play it on my sin rogue.

You can get banned for that exploit though is what I hear from people. Idk if it’s true or not? (Neurotoxin exploit)

That’s not how exploiting works, at all. If something is not functioning as intended, and is exploited for gain, it’s a bannable offense. It’s in the same category as item duping, which I (shamefully) have been banned for.

Using something overpowered (like Cdew did) is creative and a little beyond the spirit of fair play, but it is not in the same category as bug exploiting.

The discussion here is about the morality of the exploit: Cdew “exploit” wasn’t illegal from the game rules perspective, but was morally wrong from the fair play point of view. Neurotoxin “exploit” os based on a game bug, hence, subjective to ban.

I agree with you on Neurotoxin, I’m not sure that I agree on Cdew. After watching his video I thought it was a neat use of game mechanics, though not perfect for “fair play”.

In terms of what’s deemed “fair play” I think we’re far past the point of trying to regulate certain abilities or mechanics as “morally wrong”. It’s just impossible to dictate which broken mechanics should be “off limits” vs. which ones are just in the threshold. If Cdew couldn’t run lively spirit/ghost wolf OP traits something else (i.e. rogue/mage) would’ve been pushed to god tier level instead.

What should be punishable is knowingly abusing bugged mechanics. Blizzard should also just be INFINITELY better at recognizing this ahead of time and taking action (i.e. rogues can’t run w/ neurotoxin while bug is live or even better, they actually hotfix it on TR). Can’t believe they ban Nolifer in the MIDDLE of a series for selling carries but they can’t take action over people knowingly exploiting actual gameplay mechanics during the gameplay they’re live streaming & casting.

Does Kolo ever play anything but the most broken crap in the game? Look at his mana lol

Why wouldn’t anyone give themselves the best chance to win ?

He plays a lot of healers bc he has to.

Also gogo arcane mage dream

Sharpen in dampening is actually insane. But not as disgusting as double caster. Hopefully vultz and the pp come out on top.
