Alrighty, since the expansion has began, I’ve had no problems with it. ONLY Today did I figure out that, even though you have a break period every five waves, if you leave to do something else, then come back, you have to redo all of the waves. Why!? It’s not like we can get extra chests, why is there even a break!? This is the most mindnumbing part of the chores for me!

Sorry necroing this thread because I can’t find any awakening the Machine topics.
I pretty much neglected Awakening the Machine because wasn’t very good at it at the start of the xpac, and did plenty of other weekly content for my crests and valorstones. Doing it now on an alt and they let me have a break at 7/20 waves and saved my progress. Not sure it was that way at the beginning of xpac.

there were breaks at 5 10 15 before. seems they sped it up some?
You left the scenario entirely, came back to requeue it and it saved your progress?
Not sure, they probably saved at 5/20 but I didnt notice. The middle guy I have no way to heal him as rogue, unless I can use pots or a healing wrap, haven’t tried.
Anyway I’m not very good at it and especially on a rogue lol. So the break we’re allowed is helpful because the middle guy comes back at full health.
Eventually healing bots spawn, once you kill them and run over the orb they dropped, they go to the dude in the middle. The heals are pretty big too

I found that i got hit less harder when i had like 2 mil hp vs now that i have 6 mill hp

I like that its saving progress as I go, even though I’m terrible at it lol. I see now what the 5 waves completed in succession actually means, in context of the reward. I’ll probably add it back into rotation next season on some better alts.
Bring some bandages if you need, until wave 10 (I believe) or so and you get pots that drop from certain npcs to heal him up with.

Uh what? It was just as good as every other world event.
I said I wasn’t very good at it, not that it was a bad event. Coming back to it late season to get some valorstones.
I meant that it’s saving my waves that i’ve completed, so if my guy gets killed at 7/20, those waves are saved, even if the cache reward doesnt go up. So at least I don’t have to redo those waves and can complete the event with my crappy rewards lol.
I find it to be a complete cakewalk, but don’t see the point of doing it. It doesn’t drop anything worth having.
Must’ve been a bug for me when it happened then. Glad I’m done with rep grinds… until tuesday.
There’s a mount, if you collect those.
When you kill the medic bots they drop health stuff you can walk over to heal the overseer earthen dude.

Yeah it is pretty easy now. I ran it at least 50 or so times, and never got the mount drop so I just gave up on it. It’s another piece of content I just don’t enjoy doing.
