Just wondering how long it takes to ban them after reporting over a month ago
Blizzard will not ban ANY account based on YOU saying so. If they did, hundreds of thousands of accounts would be banned because players falsely reported them as bots.
Blizzard has to catch the person actually botting, and be sure they are botting. And a human has to do this – computers are not smart enough to do it.
So there is no “average time”. If you reported someone a month ago, a Blizzard GM probably already checked that report out, and did not find the player “botting”.
lol with a question like that I wouldn’t post on my main either.
I think there’s some food waiting for you in the other room.
We have sent in evidence of the bot actually admitting to using programs for over a month, we finally got him to talk and sent screenshots of conversations and have had many players report them but nothing seems to gets done
So was just wondering what the process is that’s all as I can’t find out any information it’s like they don’t have anything to do with classic wow
Is this perhaps a multiboxer?
Blizzard doesn’t reveal that info. Also the dude above was wrong, Blizzard relies on player reports. They don’t have to see someone actually botting, they have logs. Usually in the past they banned botters in waves. I believe (and this is more speculation than actual knowledge of the process) they were investigating the bot itself and figuring out how to detect it more quickly so they don’t ban one person, he tells his friends and they change the script making it harder to detect.
Are you going to fap when you discover the person’s banned?
bots make money sorry chief better luck next time.
Leave my Chinese ghost herbers alone.
Mama needs a new pair of shoes.
Does not matter, Blizzard has to investigate through various means.
I can photoshop pictures of you in game admitting to hacking accounts and everything else under the sun.
You’d be pretty mad if you got banned based on my photoshop skills
rather than someone taking the time to go and look in person?
Also there are how many 1000’s of players and how many reports to how many staff members?
Things take time
they ban in waves. those waves seem to be few and far between lately though
Seems to be at least 9 months.
they will ban when they find out the company they can sue
That’s not really how it works. They do ban waves a few times a year, usually coinciding with after financial reports. Which is funny.
It’d just cost more resources to ban them faster. That’s why they don’t.
